🌳Woodland🌳

This afternoon in woodland we were looking at constellations and the patterns they make.
We looked at constellations like the big dipper, Cygnus and Orion.
We thought the big dipper looked like a saucepan, Cygnus looked like a bird and Orion looked like a Hunter with a bow and arrow.
We used natural materials to create constellations.
Don’t they look amazing!

🚓 Year 6 transition talk 🚓

PCSO Carl came in this morning to talk to the year 6’s about moving to secondary. They spoke about what’s the difference between primary and secondary school, how to keep yourself safe, talk about emotions worries and support, and who they can talk to.
Carl had some scenarios to talk through and all the children answered very well.

Aliens have invaded Woodland!
We found lots of evidence of aliens and alien spaceships.
There were portals on the trees in green and orange, we found the key to the spaceship, an alien eyeball and fungus, got scared when aliens pushed us over and ran away when we heard noises!
We made some alien faces using mud and water in hopes that the spaceship will come back.

⭐️ Woodpeckers ⭐️

Woodpeckers had the BEST time yesterday at Wildwood 😊 The children had lots of fun exploring the animals in their natural habitat, being brave and walking the ‘bear bridge’ and playing in the play park!

🦔🌳 Jays at Wildwood 🦔🌳

Jays class had a great time at Wildwood yesterday. We saw Arctic foxes, bison, chickens, adders, and were very brave walking across the bear bridge!
A big thank you to our parent helpers for raising the money for the trip.

Big News!!

The news we have all been waiting for! Its a Girl 🩷🩷🩷🩷!

Miss Lowe and her partner are so proud to share the news that baby Lyla was welcomed to the world yesterday, weighing in at a perfect 8lbs 4oz.

We are sure you will join us in celebrating this wonderful news and we know Miss Lowe will read any comments you wish to put.

As we weren’t sure what the weather was doing today, we stayed close to the school in the playground.
We did an activity where we chose the shortest and the longest things we could find and put them in length order.
We took full advantage of the muddy puddles too. 😁
