Last term, our boarders enjoyed a fantastic evening out at Hollywood Bowl, Westwood Cross.

The group had great fun taking turns on the bowling lanes, cheering each other on and enjoying some friendly competition. Afterwards, they headed to the arcade, where they tested their skills on a variety of games and competed to win prizes.

Trips like these are an important part of boarding life at Dover College, giving pupils the opportunity to relax, spend time with friends and create lasting memories beyond the classroom. It was a wonderful evening enjoyed by everyone!

It was wonderful to see a select group of Old Dovorians come together at The Walrus and the Carpenter for after-work drinks last week.

Representing leaving years from the 1960s through to the 2010s, the group enjoyed sharing memories, swapping stories and reminiscing about their time at Dover College. It was a fantastic evening, and we hope to make it a regular event later this year.

A special thank you to Gerald Kitiyakara (SH 1967) for bringing everyone together and inspiring us to reconnect. We look forward to seeing even more Old Dovorians at the next gathering!

There was plenty of imagination bubbling away in our Nursery today as the children created their very own magical potions.

They mixed, poured, stirred and experimented, developing their creativity, communication and fine motor skills through play.

When the temperatures soared a few weeks ago, our Prep School pupils made the most of the sunshine with an afternoon of water fun!

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and a few unexpected splashes as the children enjoyed a range of water-based activities to help them stay cool. It was the perfect way to enjoy the warm weather while making wonderful memories with friends.

Our Third Form Business students have been putting their marketing knowledge into practice by creating their own branded cereal boxes.

As part of the project, they carried out customer surveys and competitor analysis to gain a better understanding of their target audience before developing their own unique brands. Using their research, students designed eye-catching cereal packaging, with some using AI tools to create their artwork while others showcased their creativity through hand-drawn designs.

Each cereal box included all the key features you'd expect to find on a supermarket shelf, including ingredients, nutritional information, a barcode and even an interactive game.

To complete the project, students presented their brands to the class, explaining the marketing decisions behind their designs and demonstrating the research, creativity and business skills they had developed throughout the project.

Reception and Prep 1 had a wonderful time taking part in a tree identification trail at Kearsney Abbey and successfully completed their mission! They loved discovering the different varieties of trees while developing their observation skills and learning more about the natural world.

Outdoor learning brings classroom topics to life, encouraging curiosity, teamwork and a love of exploration. We believe children learn best through a balance of hands-on experiences, academic challenge and plenty of opportunities to explore, question and discover.

Learning through play is at the heart of every day in our nursery. Today's table activities sparked curiosity, creativity and plenty of conversation as our little learners explored, created and had fun together.

Our nursery is open 50 weeks a year, and eligible families can use their government-funded childcare hours with us.
