This year, we decided to do things a little differently for our Discovery Nursery graduates.
Instead of a big ceremony, lots of medals and endless photo opportunities, we wanted to celebrate them in a way that felt much more like… them.
So we enjoyed the sunshine with picnics, games, friends, family and lots of play. Because when we really thought about it, that’s what childhood is all about.
There was laughter, fun, running around, cuddles with loved ones and so many genuine smiles. It was relaxed, joyful and everything we hoped it would be.
As they get ready for their next adventure at primary school, we hope they’ll remember these moments just as much as anything else. We certainly will.
To all of our amazing graduates, thank you for letting us be part of your story. We are so incredibly proud of every single one of you and wish you all the happiness in the world as you take your next big step. 🌈

We’re looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Discovery Nurseryat Crabble Hill. The position is ready and waiting and will be Monday to Friday - 12pm to 6pm.
There is also room for negotiation for the contracted weeks - minimum 39 weeks and maximum 44 weeks.
About the role:
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will:
* Provide exceptional early years education, supporting each child’s development and learning journey.
* Confidently implement and follow frameworks such as the EYFS to ensure high-quality teaching and care.
* Meet the daily needs of every child with compassion, attentiveness, and professionalism.
* Design and deliver stimulating activities that enrich learning and promote holistic development.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers through open and effective communication.
* Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, health, and safety in every interaction and environment.
* Actively contribute to team meetings, sharing ideas and insights to positively shape the future of the children in our care.
About you:
We're looking for an Early Years practitioner ideally qualified to Level 3.
They should be able to work confidently, professionally and collaboratively, and in a way that is inclusive and creates a supportive, respectful environment.
Not essential but great if you have:
* Paediatric First Aid certification/experience.
* Experience supporting children with additional needs.
* Familiarity with digital learning journals.
