Dover Sea Sports also offer instructor training and a range of shore-based courses to compliment our water-based tuition, all of which combines to give a fantastic base of skills to build on. Dover Sea Sports is a business with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community, rather than being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners. It is our aim to use the sea for education, skill training in seamanship, character formation and personal development. This includes physical education, life saving and other activities for young people participating in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme. We work closely with the local Sea Cadets, Combined Cadet Force, the Scout Association, Girl guiding UK and the Kent Youth Service to provide a unique opportunity to young people in the local area.
