In the baby room the children have been engaging in a museum inspired tuff tray. The children have been developing their speech by learning new words such as "bones" "dinosaurs" and "museum". Get ready to Roooaarrr! 🦖 The children had the opportunity to explore different types of nature materials. We have a mix of sand, soil, leaves and grass. 🌿🍁 This gives our dinosaur play a realistic experience and allows the children to touch and explore the different types of textures.

This is a great sensory activity, aswell as allowing the children to dive into their imaginative play using the dinosaurs and magnifying glasses provided.

This a week in the babies, the children have lots of sensory trays set up. This tray in paticular encourages the babies to touch, and explore the sand with their hands or the paintbrushes. 🖌👋

We also have a number of building blocks that the children are able to use to stack, roll and look through as they all have many different colours and materials inside them. Aswell as being a fantastic sensory tray, this also allows the children to mark make in the sand which is a fantastic way to broaden their fine motor skills too.
