This week in the baby room the children have been engaging in a fish pond. The children have been developing their communication skills by talking about the colours. This encouraged new words and language to be learnt. The children used their fine motor skills and gross motor skills to scoope the fishes out the water.

This week the preschool children have been developing their fine motor skills through our tac puzzles, to aid mark making techniques and control. The children developed their hand eye co ordination as they used the hammer to hit the tacs and secure the pictures to the boards. The children also developed their palmar and tripod grips when learning the best ways to hold the wooden hammer, for the most control.

This week in the baby room the children have been developing their fine motor skills by making animals prints with playdough. The children were pressing the animals into the playdough to create patterns and prints.

This week in the baby room the children have been learning about colours. The children have been colour mixing to create a spa experience for the babies. The children have been talking about the different colours they can see whilst mixing the colours together.

This week in the preschool room, the children have been learning to write the first letter of their names, alongside the next stop school campaign. The children are becoming very confident in noticing letters of significance within the environment and are developing the fine motor pen control, when participating in mark making activities.
