A great first parade of the new school year, and a particularly special one for our new students taking part in their first ever parade.

It was also an opportunity for many of our students to step into new roles, including our Junior Under Officers and Stick Orderlies, taking on new responsibilities within the school.

This morning in the Science Lab, students watched a demonstration of alkali metals reacting with water, seeing first-hand how different elements can behave when they react.

With plenty of 'wow' moments, it was a great opportunity to bring science to life, encourage curiosity and help students connect what they have learned about chemical reactions.

Our annual Stick Orderlies Competition saw eight pairs put their skills to the test through an inspection and drill phase, with a large crowd of students cheering on their friends.

With the highest standards of turnout and drill expected, the pairs were judged by the Principal, RSM Russell, CSgt Denny, last year’s Stick Orderlies and our Senior Under Officer.

The results were announced in Chapel this morning:
1st Placed Sticks - Daisy & Emily
2nd Placed Sticks - Jake & Otis
Reserve Sticks - Emilia & Ella

Well done to everyone who took part in this year’s selection process.
