As another fantastic school year comes to a close, we'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to our wonderful pupils, dedicated staff, supportive families, and governors for making this year so special. 💙

We've celebrated achievements, embraced new challenges, made wonderful memories, and watched our children grow in confidence, kindness, and resilience. We are incredibly proud of every single one of our pupils and all they have accomplished this year.

To our Year 6 children, we wish you every success as you begin your exciting new chapter. You will always be a part of our school family, and we know you will continue to shine. ⭐

This term, we introduced our new Special Recognition Awards, which will be presented each term to celebrate pupils who go above and beyond in different areas of school life. We are delighted to announce our first recipients:

As the temperature is rising again this week , children are once again welcome to wear their PE kits to school if they feel more comfortable.

Please remember water bottles and sun hats .

The Roddy family have kindly gifted the school a new gazebo so there will be extra shade for the children on the field 😊

ETA for year 6 is now 3.40 pm at River primary due to an accident on the M20!

Despite the exceptionally warm weather this week, our children have coped brilliantly and continued to approach every day with enthusiasm, resilience and smiles. 😀

The adaptations we put in place, including introducing water activities, shaded activities and relaxing of uniform have worked really well, allowing everyone to stay safe and comfortable while still enjoying their learning.

We are delighted to say that attendance has remained in line with a typical week, which reflects the fantastic support we have received from families. Thank you to all parents and carers for ensuring children came to school prepared with water bottles, hats and sun cream where needed.

We genuinely believe that, despite the heat, the children have had a week to remember, full of exciting experiences, happy memories and wonderful learning opportunities.
