MTS Ski Trip 2020

As our ski trip comes to an end, all of the ski staff would like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing students for making this trip such a brilliant one.
Their conduct has been consistently top class; their determination and resilience on the slopes - fantastic; and their company, brilliant.

We are sure that they will want to share their memories with you when they get home, although it might be after they’ve had a good night’s sleep!

We have just left Watford Gap, where students tucked into their McDonalds!

At this stage we are looking at an arrival time of approximately 9pm. We will update if this changes 😊

We are approximately 20 minutes from Watford Gap where we are going to buy all students a well deserved McDonalds. Once we leave McDonald’s we will be able to give you a clearer idea of our ETA 😊

Update re: Corona Virus.

We have taken advice from Public Health, our Academy Trust and the Local Authority re: Corona Virus.

We have not stayed in one of the 11 identified category 1 areas of Northern Italy. All the students have skied every day and have been in good health, albeit feeling a bit tired from 5 days of physical activity.

In the unlikely event on return, that students develop flu-like symptoms, you should call 111 immediately, take advice, and let school know.

We would therefore expect to see all students back to school with us on Tuesday morning, ready to share their tales from a brilliant ski trip.

We have arrived in rainy Calais!

When we arrive in England we will start to post updates about our estimated time of arrival to school.

Arrived at the services in very good time. Quick freshen up and then onwards to Calais!

A fantastic evening celebrating some of the achievements from this week! We’re all settled on the coach now and setting off on our journey home.

The sun was shining as brightly as our skiers today! They were BRILLIANT!!!

Pizza Night 🍕 🇮🇹

The owners of the pizzeria were so complimentary about how polite and well behaved the students were tonight. This simply echos their behaviour for the duration of the trip. Well done to all of our students!

Yet another brilliant afternoon of skiing in the snow. We’re all off out for pizza tonight to celebrate such great skiing 😊
