✨ Played a game to define tricky vocabulary
✨ Explored synonyms

National Poetry Day ✨ We have discovered some really lovely books this week because of National Poetry Day!

These poems have caused us to laugh, think, pretend, be silly, be quiet, write, draw, act, create... It was as simple as opening the book and seeing where it leads 🥰

Let this be your encouragement to dig out the poetry books at bedtime tonight or borrow some from the library when you next visit - you won't regret it! Reading aloud for PLEASURE is the goal 📚

First Aid project complete! ✅ We used the Pawprint Family 🐾 Badges / Patches, Pins & Adventures challenge pack and adapted it to make it our own 🥰 Activities included:

🚑 Completing a first aid course through the British Red Cross
🚑 Learning how to call the emergency services
🚑 Creating a scenario and playscript to demonstrate learning
🚑 Creating a PowerPoint presentation about the importance of First Aid
🚑 Recieving a First Aid kit as a reward and learning about how all of the contents can be used to help others when they need it 🥰

Could a sparkle-filled Strictly Come Dancing themed project be the perfect way to encourage a love of writing in your children? 🥰🪩

Each day you'll find:
✨ A mini-lesson with a spelling, punctuation or grammar focus
✨ A short writing task

Through completing these tasks, your child will create their own book. I have tried and tested these writing activities and my daughter has loved it so much that it continued for far longer than the 5 days I'd planned!

This week we enjoyed the next two chapters of the book - this medicine really is marvellous! 💥

We played games to explore onomatopoeia, developed inference skills and worked on letter formation, punctuation, phonics and spelling when writing a speech bubble for Granny 🥰

☔ Half Term Groups! ☔

My school holiday groups have been filling up fast, so this half term I'm excited to be offering two sessions of 'Rain or Shine!' so that I can welcome plenty of children who are home educated or enjoying their half term break from school 🥰

This will be a fun-filled drop-off session all about seasons, weather, clouds and the amazing journey of a raindrop! We'll be learning through a mixture of hands-on activities, science experiments, stories, games and plenty of opportunities to be creative!

This is a perfect opportunity to learn, create, play, explore and make friends - whatever the weather 🌈

This afternoon we will be working on our Pawprint Family 🐾 Badges / Patches, Pins & Adventures First Aid challenge and enjoying our current read aloud by Ben Miller which we are loving! Maybe a bit of baking too, who knows 🥰
