THANK YOU TO OUR SUPPORTERS & PARTNERS
Today, we celebrate a milestone in liver health awareness and prevention.
The ELPA Liver Disease Prevention Village 2026 was more than an event—it was a pioneering movement. For the first time, we brought together education, prevention, early detection, screening, and community engagement in one dedicated space, demonstrating that liver disease can be prevented, detected early, and managed more effectively when people have access to the right information and services.
This achievement would not have been possible without the vision, commitment, and generous support of our valued partners and supporters: Boehringer Ingelheim, Gilead, Madrigal Pharmaceuticals, Novo Nordisk, Echosens, TANITA, and GSK.
Together, you helped transform an ambitious idea into a reality that reached hundreds of people, raised awareness, and encouraged individuals to take action for their liver health. Through your support, the Prevention Village delivered vital messages about prevention, early detection, screening, and the importance of proactive healthcare.
Each of our supporters brought unique strengths to this initiative. From advancing innovation in liver disease research and treatment, to promoting early diagnosis, metabolic health, healthy lifestyles, and patient-centered care, your contributions played a crucial role in the success of this first-ever Prevention Village.
As the inaugural **Liver Disease Prevention Village**, this initiative has set a new standard and created a model for future prevention efforts across Europe and beyond. It stands as proof that when patients, healthcare professionals, industry partners, and advocates unite around a common goal, meaningful change is possible.
To all our supporters, partners, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and advocates: thank you for believing in this mission and helping us make history.
Together, we are building a future where liver disease is prevented before it starts, detected before it progresses, and treated before it becomes a life-threatening condition.
Protect Liver Health. Protect Public Health
26/06/2026
🚨 The liver is the silent organ connecting almost every major public health challenge of our time.
As patient advocates, we can no longer afford to treat ⚖️ obesity, 🩸 type 2 diabetes, ❤️ cardiovascular disease, 🧠 stroke, 🎗️ cancer, and liver disease as separate conditions. They are deeply interconnected, sharing common risk factors and affecting millions of lives across Europe and beyond.
⚠️ Too often, liver disease remains invisible until it is too late—when patients face advanced fibrosis, cirrhosis, liver cancer, or even the need for a liver transplant. Yet many of these devastating outcomes are preventable.
💛 Protecting liver health means protecting our hearts, our metabolism, our future—and ultimately saving lives.
We call on European institutions and national governments to take bold action:
🛡️ Protect children from harmful marketing of alcohol and ultra-processed, high-sugar foods and drinks.
📚 Invest in education, prevention, and liver health awareness from an early age.
🔍 Expand access to early detection and liver screening for people at risk.
🤝 Integrate liver health into , , disease, , , and strategies.
⚖️ Ensure equitable access to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and multidisciplinary care for every citizen.
💙 A healthy liver is not only about preventing —it is about preventing diseases that place an enormous burden on patients, families, and healthcare systems.
🌍 Every policy that protects liver health is an investment in a healthier, stronger Europe.
⏳ The time for awareness has passed. The time for action is now.
💙 . .
Every liver matters. Every patient matters. Every life matters.
