Easter egg hunts and group games in the forest!

During this session, we spent a lot of time focusing on our team work, we helped our friends who were still to find an egg, we took turns and engaged in games together - working as a team!

🌳Outdoor Classroom🌳

We believe in the outdoor classroom and aim to spend the bulk of our day everyday outside! Now that the weather is nicer we can also start to bring our indoor classroom outside too!

We always have sports resources available as well as some more structured activities to ensure all needs are met! Right down to our babies!

🌳Whittling🌳

This week at Forest School we learnt about the art of whittling! We looked at different images of completed pieces for inspiration and then we set to work on our own!

We started with the very early stages of whittling and took the bark from a stick, this took a lot of concentration, teamwork and persistence!

Along side whittling, we did some planting and bug hunting! We made sure not to touch or move the bugs and keep them safe in their habitats!

We believe children flourish when given personalised attention. 💛

At Mighty Oaks, we keep nursery numbers smaller so every child is truly known, supported and encouraged to develop at their own pace - socially, emotionally and academically.

📚World Book Day 📚

Today all of our children dressed up as their favourite story book characters, here is a child from each age group and their fantastic costumes!

We also had a range of different story book activities set up around the room, based on the children’s choices the day before!

What a great day!

🐦Bird Feeders🐦

Last week at Forest School we made our own bird feeders! We went on a mission to find the best pinecones, then coated them in lard and rolled them in seeds, once we had finished we tied strong to the bird feeders so we could hang them up in our gardens!

In the background of this, we also did some litter picking, music making and cooking in the mud kitchen!

At Mighty Oaks Nursery, children enjoy their meals together in our dedicated Dining Room, sharing healthy, tasty food with friends. 🍽

As they grow, they learn to self-serve - building confidence and independence. With tablecloths and flowers on every table, we create a calm, welcoming space where mealtimes feel special.
