September:

We said some more ‘goodbyes’ early in September and the new babies were still settling in. So we had lots of garden days in the sunshine allowing everyone to play and explore in our safe and nurturing environment. We also got used to our new sleep mats following new sleep guidance issued.

We did venture out a bit and managed some autumn walks and treasure hunts with our childminding friends.
We had to Highcliffe Nursing Home, Highcliffe Toddler Group and Highcliffe Library. We also experienced a baby sound bath. I’m not sure who enjoyed that more - the children or me! 🧘‍♀️ 😴

This month, we’ve said goodbye to our school leavers and a long standing family who are moving overseas 😢

Lots of emotions, but I’m so excited for their adventures at their new schools and pre-school.

We’ve also welcomed 2 new babies to ABC and they are settling in so well! 🥰

A much younger cohort this year which is taking me some getting used to but I love going back to a more nurturing role rather than just teaching. They need to feel loved, valued and celebrated for all they can do, even if they can’t yet write their own name !

This week we are thinking about school readiness!

June!

We finally got some sun, but it was hot! So we spent some time in the shade of the New Forest - seeing the ponies, climbing trees and making dens.

We also celebrated pride month with a trip to Highcliffe Nursing Home where the children explored a colourful sensory tray with the residents.

We went to our weekly sessions at Highcliffe Toddler Group where we made bee and ladybird pictures which will be displayed in the high street.

We celebrated birthdays, made gifts for Father’s Day, did yoga, watched the ladybird lifecycle, went strawberry picking and we had a very exciting morning when the air ambulance landed nearby!
