Such a fun few days with the BSO at the Meyrick Park ‘Proms in the Park’ this year! Great music, thousands of people dancing and singing along - in some spectacular 80’s outfits! If you come to one concert next year, make it this one, you won’t regret it! 🎶 😎🥳☀️🍾🥂🎸💃

Just had this lovely-to-hear message from one of my adult oboe pupils - Rachel:
“Hi Bryony Just to let you know your teaching is obviously making a difference as I won the trophy for adult making most contribution to the Windband course I’ve been on this week.”

An interesting article on playing instruments and brain health in later years: “Practising and reading music may help sustain good memory and the ability to solve complex tasks” their study says.
They highlight learning the piano and woodwind instruments as being particularly beneficial. It’s never too late to start! 🎶

This has to be some sort of record…a massive congratulations to Dom Harding for his distinction at grade 3 piano…having only started learning (any instrument) at the end of January this year! Remarkable achievement in only 5 months! I’m looking forward to where we can go from here! 🎹 🎶 🎵
