Snippets of my recent public recital exam; super pleased to have been awarded this degree level diploma - a Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music in piano performance! I was inspired by the bravery and ambition of my adult pupils who take exams of all levels - and thought ‘I’d like to do that too!’ I learned an awful lot more than just the notes to do this exam, particularly about the psychology of performance preparation - and I hope I can pass on my newfound knowledge to pupils of both piano and oboe. Please do contact me for lessons at any level of experience.

Bach prelude and fugue no 3 in C # Major

This was a fantastic BSO concert of Russian music for the BBC Proms this year. Well worth a listen on BBC Sounds radio 3 if you get a minute.

Were you at Bristol Beacon for the weekend’s BBC Proms performances? Don’t miss the chance to listen again to our concert with Maximilian Hornung and Adam Hickox, it’s presented by Sarah Walker and is on BBC Sounds now: https://buff.ly/nsr7EO8

We’re proud to be Orchestra in Residence at Bristol Beacon, and it was super special to share the weekend with our friends at National Open Youth Orchestra and Paraorchestra: what a fantastic celebration of Team South West! If you’ve not visited Bristol Beacon before, what are you waiting for? Get along this autumn: https://buff.ly/XjJA6DU

Just had this lovely-to-hear message from one of my adult oboe pupils - Rachel:

“Hi Bryony Just to let you know your teaching is obviously making a difference as I won the trophy for adult making most contribution to the Windband course I’ve been on this week.”

So pleased that all her hard work and dedication has been noticed and resulted in this award! 🏆 👏 👏 🎶
