✨ Feedback Friday ✨

Reading messages from women who feel stronger, more confident, and happier in themselves never gets old 🫶

Helping women build strength inside and out is why I love what I do, and every testimonial is a reminder of just how powerful that journey can be 💖

A huge thank you to every woman who has taken the time to share their feedback, wins, and kind words with me.
It truly warms my heart and means more than you know 💓

What happens when you never stop?

You keep going.

Until your body starts speaking louder.

The headaches.
The irritability.
The exhaustion.
The overwhelm.
The feeling that everyone needs something from you.

Many women don’t need another thing to do.

They need space to breathe.

That’s exactly why we created Soft Landing 💛

A chance to step away from the noise, slow down, reconnect with yourself and remember what it feels like to simply be.

If your nervous system sighed while reading this, we’d love to welcome you…

One of the first principles of yoga is Ahimsa, often translated as “non-harming.”

Most of us find it fairly easy to extend kindness and compassion to other people.

But what about ourselves?

How often do we:

• Criticise our bodies
• Focus on what we haven’t done
• Push through exhaustion
• Ignore our own needs
• Speak to ourselves in ways we’d never speak to a friend

Ahimsa invites us to pause and ask:

✨ Is this thought kind?
✨ Is this action supportive?
✨ Am I treating myself with compassion?

Because true wellbeing isn’t built through punishment, criticism or constantly trying to fix ourselves.

It grows when we learn to work with ourselves instead of against ourselves…

Today, I invite you to notice how you’re speaking to yourself.

And if you wouldn’t say it to someone you love…

perhaps it’s time to choose a kinder voice 💛

The problem is, most of us have become so good at ignoring the whispers that we don’t notice them until our body forces us to stop.

Sometimes whispers look like:

✨ Feeling tired but pushing through anyway
✨ Snapping at people you love
✨ Constantly feeling rushed
✨ Struggling to switch off
✨ Feeling guilty whenever you try to rest
✨ Living on adrenaline and caffeine

I thought I needed to be more organised.

More productive.

More disciplined.

What I actually needed was to slow down and listen.

Our bodies are incredibly intelligent - They are always communicating with us.

The question is, are we listening?

Today, nervous system support doesn’t look like adding another thing to my to-do list.

It’s often the simplest things:

🌿 A walk by the sea
🌿 Taking a few deep breaths
🌿 Moving my body gently
🌿 Sitting in the sunshine
🌿 Putting my phone down
🌿 Giving myself permission to rest

Small moments of safety create big shifts over time.

So here’s your reminder today:

You don’t have to wait until burnout to take care of yourself 💖 05/06/2026

A little insight into why I do what I do… 💛

As a teenager, I struggled with anxiety, depression and an unhealthy relationship with food and my body. Exercise started as a coping mechanism, but over time it became part of my healing. Learning how to move, nourish and care for myself sparked a passion for health and fitness that led me to qualify as a Personal Trainer.

Then yoga entered my life ✨

What began as a physical practice became a journey of self-discovery, teaching me the importance of nurturing not just the body, but the mind and spirit too.

After becoming a mum, I felt called to support women in a deeper way and trained as a Midwife. It was an honour to walk alongside women through some of life’s most transformative moments.

But after years of working through the challenges of the Covid pandemic, I experienced burnout. As difficult as that chapter was, it became the catalyst for change.

It taught me to trust my intuition, step away from a system that no longer aligned with me, and create a way of working that truly reflected my values.

Today I combine my experience in fitness, midwifery, yoga, coaching and holistic wellbeing to support women through pregnancy, motherhood, menopause and beyond 💫

Because I know what it feels like to lose yourself - And I know how powerful it is when you find your way back 💖

Thank you for being here and supporting this journey. I’d love to know…

Has there ever been a moment in your life that completely changed your direction? 💫

✨ HELLO TO SOME OF THE NEW FACES HERE ✨

I’ve had a little flurry of new followers 🙏 so I thought it was time to reintroduce myself…

I’m Jodie - aka The Fitlife Midwife 💖

I’m a Women’s Health Coach, Personal Trainer and former NHS Midwife based in Dorset & Hampshire, supporting women through pregnancy, motherhood, menopause and everything in between.

A few things about me…

☀️ Yellow is my favourite colour - like sunshine, it just makes everything feel brighter.

🌍 I’ve travelled to 47 countries so far, with Vietnam, Thailand and India holding a special place in my heart.

🧘‍♀️ Ashtanga yoga is my moving meditation.

🏋️‍♀️ I love lifting weights (deadlifts are my favourite!)

📚 I’ve gone from never reading books to devouring at least one a month.

🐶 I’m obsessed with dogs.

👧👦 I’m a mum of two amazing little humans.

✨ I’m passionate about blending science and spirituality to support women’s health in a way that feels holistic, realistic and empowering.

One of my core values is growth. Whether that’s learning something new, stepping outside my comfort zone, prioritising my wellbeing, or helping other women do the same 💫

Life has taught me that health is about so much more than what we weigh or how we look. It’s about feeling strong, balanced, connected and truly well.

Thank you for being here. Whether you’ve been following for years or you’ve only just found my page, I’m so grateful you’re part of this community 🫶

I’d love to know - what should I know about YOU? Pop a fact about yourself in the comments 👇💛
