Hybridstix Drum Course

Little clip from this year’s course-here we were teaching students to play in odd time signatures-this one was in 7/4 🥁

This was a fun lesson-groups of 5 but played with a dotted 1/8th feel. Ben on the left handed kit & Sam on the right handed kit. 🥁

This year we had the legendary Colin Woolway present a masterclass on day 2. We thought it would be good to finish the course with an impromptu jam featuring the 3 of us 🥁Simon Mellish Danny Pearson Drums

Re-did this little King Kong groove taster for this year’s course as the last one disappeared! (Had some issues with the page). This one has the hi hat on the beat this time. There are 3 different right hand parts played over the left hand ghost note pattern 🥁 see you in August

On day 2 of this year’s course we had a band come in to workshop some songs-here’s a clip of Kate playing Superstition by Stevie Wonder. This is the first time she’s played with anyone else (like most of the students on the course) 🥁😎fantastic!
