Celebrating Achievements🥳

On 1 September, our third year Charlie took part in a sailing regatta in challenging conditions, with winds reaching Beaufort Force 5–6 and gusts up to Force 7. Sailing with his crew, and with a reef in, they put in a fantastic performance and won the competition by a considerable margin. A brilliant result in some demanding conditions! 🏆

Good afternoon

The NHS Highland Health Improvement team and Planet Youth are delighted to inform you that we are running a new block of Speakeasy sessions for parents and carers.

What are Speakeasy Sessions?
Does the thought of speaking to your child or adolescent about growing up, their health, risk-taking behaviours, relationships or sexual health worry or confuse you? If so, Speakeasy sessions can help. All sessions last 90 minutes and are run online in small group sessions. These groups are kept small to allow for conversation, are relaxed, informal and allow for sharing thoughts and ideas. You can become as involved as you like or just sit and listen, your choice entirely.

🛌Supporting your child to have a better sleep routine.

🎯🏆
Last Wednesday saw the final of the darts club Open Singles competition where Ruaridh Holden (S5) pipped Innes McAffer (also S5) in an exciting match, which was played in a party atmosphere in the assembly hall.

Both boys played fantastically well throughout the tournament, with Ruaridh getting his hands on the Sid Waddle Trophy for the first time🏆Innes didn’t go home empty handed either, winning the tournament’s highest checkout of 115 and taking home a jar of jam curtesy of our sponsor Struie Hill Preserves. Trophies for the winner and runner-up were also provided by Struie Hill Preserves.

This year’s tournament had 64 entrants from S1 to S6 as well as six members of staff. Six 180s were thrown during the tournament, as well as three ton-plus checkouts and every single match was officiated by pupils for the first time👏

The final was ably called and refereed by Euan Swanson and chalked on stage by Finn Hallam and Conor Douglas and overseen offstage by Archie Cameron and Charlie Macnab. Roo Le Roux and Mr Carlton again provided their expertise in the lighting and sound department while Caroline Mackay was again tournament photographer.
