A snapshot of a typical Year 8 afternoon showed the variety of learning opportunities available across the school.

In English, pupils were engaged in reading activities, with a 8A1! reading independently in the Study Centre with Mrs Kett, while 8A2 benefited from whole-class reading with Mr Knill.

At the same time, other Year 8 students were busy in the DT workshops, gaining practical experience in both woodwork and metalwork, using specialist tools and equipment to design and manufacture their projects.

Greenpower Teams Dunsfold 2026

🏎️ What a fantastic day for our Greenpower Teams at Dunsfold, despite some very challenging weather
conditions! 🌧️

Our students showed incredible resilience, teamwork and determination throughout the day, receiving fantastic support trackside even in the pouring rain.

Both teams drove brilliantly in extremely difficult conditions, with our Raptor Team securing an outstanding 3rd place overall! 🍰🥉

🏆 We were also incredibly proud to be awarded the Spirit of Greenpower Award, presented to the school that goes above and beyond to support others. Throughout the day, Priory students and staff helped two other schools with advice and equipment, truly demonstrating the values of teamwork, kindness and community spirit. 💚

A huge thank you to our sponsors Broccoli Marketing and Amareece Dance School for their continued support, and to Mrs Brundish and Mr Hadler who run Greenpower, alongside the invaluable support of Mr Brundish on race days.

We are incredibly proud of all our students for representing The Priory so brilliantly.

A fantastic start to the new academic year as we welcomed our new Year 7 students and our returning pupils back to school.

All students attended an assembly led by our Headteacher, Mrs Trimnell, who spoke about our core school values of Hope, Dignity, Community and Wisdom.

Our Year 10 students have made an excellent start to their GCSE courses, demonstrating a positive attitude and commitment to their learning as they begin this important stage of their academic journey.

It has been wonderful to see our school community together again after the summer break.

We look forward to supporting every pupil to grow in confidence, embrace new opportunities, and fulfil their potential throughout the year ahead.

Summer School 2026

Recently, we welcomed our new Year 7 pupils for an exciting Summer School packed full of fun, friendship and teamwork!

Students enjoyed STEM activities, team-building challenges in the Dome, and put their creativity to the test with the famous marshmallow spaghetti challenge. After a delicious BBQ lunch, the day finished with a fun and competitive rounders tournament.

It was wonderful to see so many new friendships being formed and such enthusiasm from our future Priory students. We can’t wait to welcome them officially soon.

A fantastic and positive start to their time at The Priory.
