Did you know…? Oranges 🍊 and citrus fruits are in season in the winter! It may seem odd to hear as in the UK our fruits are ready in summer and autumn, but in Spain and other parts of Europe you’ll find them out and ripening now. This photo was taken in Valencia in February. 🇪🇸

The village of La Alberca in Spain 🇪🇸 is the capital of the Iberian Ham region, where everything ham related can be found. The whole process of making, from feeding to ageing the meat is taken very seriously and is an integral part of Spanish culture. It is graded depending on how long to my have grazed on acorns for, and what breeding the pigs 🐖 are. Despite the fact that this village is littered with tasting shops, you won’t find a single word of English here, so even a little Spanish is a must. Why not start with ‘jamón ibérico’ (ham), ‘bellota’ (acorn), and ‘cerdo’ (pig).

Getting some posters up to spread the word about our Easter language school! The immersion workshops are held over full days and allow for children to have a great time while learning French!
