🎉 GCSE Results Day 2026 🎉

A huge congratulations to our Year 11 students on their fantastic GCSE results!

The Ashcombe School are celebrating excellent GCSE results today, with students achieving strong outcomes across a broad range of subjects and opening opportunities in sixth form education, further education, apprenticeships and employment. Enrolment into The Ashcombe Sixth Form is now underway, and we look forward to welcoming many of our students back in September as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey.

At the end of Term our Year 9 students created powerful chalk and charcoal portraits of individuals connected to the Kindertransport during WWII, alongside portraits inspired by a WWI refugee at Mason's Store in Dorking and evacuee children at Dorking Nursery. Through art, our students have explored stories of courage, resilience and hope, ensuring these important memories continue to be shared with future generations.

Congratulations to all our students who received their results today 👏 Well done for all your hard work and we wish you well with your future plans. From the whole Ashcombe team.

Thank you also to BBC South East Today who spent the morning with us capturing some really special moments.

🌿 Sponsored Walk – Supporting Our Shade Sail Project 🌿

On Monday, our students took part in the annual Ashcombe Sponsored Walk through the beautiful Surrey Hills, raising money for an exciting project that will benefit our whole school community.

This year we are fundraising for new shade sails outside the Ranmore building. These canopies will create a more comfortable outdoor space for students, providing much-needed protection from the sun during warmer weather while supporting our commitment to sustainability and climate resilience.

The project will be delivered in phases, with our initial goal being to install two canopies. If needed, fundraising will continue next year to help us reach our goal and create a lasting legacy for future Ashcombe students.

A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated and supported the event. Every contribution makes a difference.
