Thank you to the staff and residents for inviting the pre-school children to a cookie decorating morning on Tuesday this week! 😋

We really enjoyed our visit to spend time talking and interacting with the residents, and developing our intergenerational friendships. 😊

Our thanks 🙏🏼 to St John’s Church for arranging our visit this morning, and especially to Rev Colin for hosting us and talking to the children.

He showed us all some really interesting features of the church, and answered questions asked by the children.

We talked about (and role played) a christening and a wedding and also spotted the 3 lambs 🐑 depicted around the church,

Comptois horses!

A great morning watching & learning about these lovely horses as they harrowed the land with their traces attached to their collars. 🐴

We met Tooky and Carina, ages 14 and 12. Both 15’2 hands high, and weighing approximately 750kg. 😮

Their breed is called Comptois, chestnut in colour, with flaxen manes & tails, originating from the French alps 🇫🇷.
They live in and travelled up from Hampshire.

We met Summer & Marshmallow this morning, and enjoyed all aspects of grooming, feeding and talking to these lovely ponies.
