Day 4 and I can hardly believe it, my children's faces look better and they are enjoying the diet and wait for this, I have lost 5 pounds in 4 days. I woke up before the alarm and felt amazing. The difference is amazing. You have to try this diet. My husband has started running, my children are looking forward to salted popcorn instead of sweets on friday, and they were happy this morning. The energy and get up and do something has certainly hit our family. Have a look at some of the picture on the website of people who have given up sugar. The difference in just a few days is amazing. Get the book, try the diet for just one week and notice the difference. Also get down to Lidl, there cauliflowers are the cheapest around by far, and as this is a main part of the diet it good to buy in bulk and freeze. I added the super greens powder to my shake this morning. It smells like grass and tastes like grass but after a few mouthfuls it disappears. Holding your nose helps to. Once you get your head around the diet it real isn't that hard.

Day three of no sugar. Breakfast started with pancakes made with Flaxseed, Chia Seeds, Plain Flour eggs and milk. Topped with raspberries and blueberries. I did used Rice syrup to go on top which my daughter loved, but surprisingly my son said it was to sweet. I also made a coconut water, raspberry and milk smoothie which was throughly enjoyed. I did follow on recipe which was a detox soup which included watercress, cauliflower, spices and stock. This was a really lovely soup and you only need a small amount as it was very filling. I made rye bread, which I also added walnuts, chia seed and pumpkin seeds. Wow this was the star of the day and loved by everybody. Serve warm with salted butter. Yum. The withdrawal of sugar rang very high today. Bad tempers, headaches and some very upset children who want sweets. I surprised them with some wholemeal pizza which put a smile on their faces.

We have decided to try and go sugar free. We are following Sarah Wilson I Quit Sugar. So far we have had cauliflower stir fried rice, and raspberry ripple raw chocolate fridge cake. Both were delicious. The kids have missed certain treats and breakfasts have been interesting. So far lots of eggs and coconut oil. photos on breakfast soon.
When embarking on this journey the headaches come on quite quickly.

Chocolate, chocolate and even more chocolate. We covered apples, biscuits, hands, faces and clothes.Yes we were wearing aprons but still these things happen. Lots of fun had by all and surprisingly the cheesy popcorn brains went down a storm.
Allergies taken into account, and made gluten free biscuits.

Our first cookery day at the Corn exchange went really well. We made butternut squash soup, biscuits, pumpkin pie and eyeball pop cakes. Yum. The time flew by. If anyone is coming today, please please can they bring containers and boxes as they have lots to take home.
Junior workshop parties are coming soon. These are parties aimed for older children with more complex dishes to cook. Call me if you have an event coming up to discuss further.
