Applications are now open for the THS Sixth Form Bursary for the new school year. Anyone in households claiming Universal credit will be eligible for Free School Meals and the Bursary.

It is with regret that this evening’s Presentation Evening has been postponed and will be rescheduled for Thursday 10th September 2026.

Our intention was to push ahead to celebrate the achievements of our students regardless of how sticky it was, but temperature readings in our theatre now make it clear that we would be putting all attendees at risk of, at best, a very unpleasant experience instead of a celebration and, at worst, ill health.

Are you someone with experience in the trades, maintenance, engineering, manufacturing or the arts? The Design and Technology department is looking for a new Resistant Materials Technician. The department is a friendly, inclusive, and innovative environment, where students are inspired to be creative, develop practical skills, and build confidence through designing and making. 🪚 🔨 🧵 ✍️

Teamwork is at the heart of the department. As DT Technician, you will be a key member of our team. Your support and organisation will have a direct impact on the quality of students' learning experiences and their success both inside and outside the classroom.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same, supporting students' learning by preparing materials, maintaining equipment and helping to create a safe and effective workshop environment. This role allows you to use your practical skills and technical knowledge, whilst working closely with teaching staff.

The skills we are looking for are:

* Interest in workshop machines
* Ability to use a variety of machines
* Ability to prepare materials
* Organisational skills
* Awareness of health and safety
