Merry Christmas to all our Wild Things. We are making pine cone bird feeders - trying out activities for 2019 Wild Things already! The days are getting longer and I am already excited about what we will be getting up to in the orchard.

Wild Things won’t be on this week as it’s our family summer holiday week. I’d really like some thoughts on how / if the group moves forward. Should it be just a summer thing or should I run it through autumn and spring too? If I run it it would have to be Wednesday morning or Thursday afternoons. Or I could do a monthly Saturday session and dads could come too. Would you like the format to stay the same? What bits work best for your children? What are your thoughts?

Thank you all for a lovely Wild Things morning. We were bug hunters, we made bottersnikes and bottersnike food. We munched cake and watermelon. We stroked a slow worm and glimpsed a frog. What a fab group of children!

Weather looks fine this morning so Wild Things is on! Earlier time - 10-11.30.

I’d like to bring Barney who is a trained therapy golden retriever! He’s as soft as butter and very chilled. Do let me know if anyone has a problem with dogs as he can stay at home if needs be.

The weather forecast is looking a bit rainy tomorrow. I’ll make a decision about Wild Things early in the morning and post here as well as emailing those who’ve signed up. If it doesn’t run this week, I’ll do it next week instead. I’ve got seed bombs, bird feeders and bug hunting all planned and ready to go!
