Creative Clay For All Award winning fun and inspiring travelling clay workshops for groups that do not have access to clay. Making clay accessible for everyone.

Workshops available in Dorchester, Weymouth, Wareham, Poole and surrounding areas. There has been a lot of research on the benefits of clay for health and wellbeing. At the same time there were closures of adult education classes and a lack of kilns in schools and community groups. People in residential care homes were unable to access clay too. So Creative Clay For All was set up in 2015 to fill this void. Inclusive tailor made workshops designed for theme and ability. A bit about me
I have been working with clay for over 20 years. I studied ceramics to BA (Hons) level at Bath Spa University, taught by amazingly talented International ceramicists. I have exhibited my work around the south of England including Bristol, Winchester, Exeter and the Business Design Centre in London. I have a passion for bringing clay to those that cannot access it. Clay is a way that people with varying abilities can get creative. I want everyone to have access to clay. Do have a look at https://www.creativeclayforall.co.uk for images and further information on the variety of workshops provided

From a lump of clay to a seaside scene full of character! 🩵

With support from our Arts & Crafts Grant, members of Dorset Blind Association spent three creative sessions working with Debbie from Creative Clay For All, learning new skills and bringing a wonderfully characterful seaside scene to life. 🐚🦀🐙

At Showcase 2026, we had the pleasure of seeing the finished installation on display – and catching up with Debbie alongside it!

It was very special to see a project we'd first heard about as an idea come together in this way, and to know how much creativity, enjoyment and confidence had been built along the way.

The story hasn't ended at Showcase either. The installation is now touring Dorset Blind Association's charity shops, and is currently basking in the limelight of their Sherborne shop – giving even more people the chance to enjoy what the group created.

Applications are now open for our 2027 Arts & Crafts Grant, so if you have a project that could benefit people in Dorset, we'd love to hear about it.
