It was so wonderful to welcome all our families back to school today! There was such a lovely buzz of excitement as friends reunited, caught up with one another and shared their holiday news.

We were especially proud of our new Reception class, who looked absolutely fabulous in their school uniforms! They had a fantastic first day, and we couldn’t be prouder of them.

We are also incredibly proud of the transition work that takes place throughout their time at nursery. It prepares our children so beautifully for this next big step in their educational journey, helping them to arrive at school feeling confident, happy and ready to learn.

As the Summer term draws to a close we would like to thank all our pupils, staff, friends and family for another wonderful year at Sunninghill.

Today we held our beautiful Leaver's Service, led by the Rev'd Magee, with beautiful readings and musical performances. This was followed by Speech Day - a wonderful celebration of our fantastic children.

We wish all our Sunninghill community a fantastic Summer holiday.

Yesterday we held our nursery graduation for all of our preschool children.

A beautiful celebration of all that they have achieved whilst at Little Robins Nursery.

We wish them all the very best as they move up to big school, and to their Reception classes.

Thank you to all the parents, friends and grandparents who came to support our little ones, and enjoy an afternoon tea in the sun.

Congratulations to all of our Form 8 pupils who took part in this evening's Lions' Lair presentations!

Over the past month, our pupils have worked incredibly hard to design, create and sell their own products as part of this exciting enterprise challenge. Thanks to their creativity, teamwork and commitment, they have raised over £300 for their chosen charities – a fantastic achievement!

Last night, they presented their journeys to our Lions, Ian and Vicki, who were hugely impressed by the professionalism, passion and effort shown by every team.

We are immensely proud of every pupil who took part. A special congratulations goes to Everything England, who were chosen as this year's winning team by our Lions. Well done to everyone involved on such a successful project!

On Thursday, Reception, Form 1 and Form 2 had a fabulous trip to Weymouth Beach.

They caught the train from Dorchester, and spent the day building sandcastles, splashing in the sea, looking at hermit crabs, admiring the sand sculptures and enjoying delicious ice creams!

The children, as ever, were wonderfully behaved and had an excellent Summer adventure as a reward for all their hard work this year. It is wonderful being so close to the Jurassic Coast to enjoy days like this.

Yesterday we also held our Sports Day for Forms 3-8. A beautiful sunny afternoon filled with fantastic performances on track and field, great teamwork and wonderful sportsmanship.

Congratulations to Ridgeway who were crowned this year's Sports Day campions and proudly took home the cup. Well done to everyone who took part and helped to make it such a memorable afternoon.
