Christmas can be the best of times, or the worst of times.
It can be a time when you are surrounded by friends and family, or a time when you are feeling lonelier than ever.
It can be a time when you are having the most fun, or watching everyone else having fun and wishing you could be part of it.
If you do find Christmas a tough time, then you are not alone. And no matter how lonely you feel, there is always somebody you can turn to.
If you need someone to talk to, these wonderful organisations are only too happy to listen. So please reach out if you need to.
Nobody deserves to feel lonely at Christmas.

The British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) have today launched a survey which will gather information to support their campaign for statutory protection of the title ‘veterinary nurse’. The data collected will provide an overview of how those within the veterinary profession feel about this issue, plus how it may or may not affect them, their patients and the public – who will also be surveyed.
Please take the time to complete the survey and to share the public survey within your practices and clients.
Both survey links can be found at the bottom of the page linked.

The title ‘veterinary nurse’ is currently not protected by law. This means that anyone (regardless of any training or experience) can call themselves a veterinary nurse.
The BVNA (British Veterinary Nursing Association) and BVA (British Veterinary Association) have long called for the protection of the title ‘veterinary nurse’, which has now been recommended to the government (DEFRA) by the RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) Council as part of wider legislative change to the 1966 Veterinary Surgeons Act.
Let's get behind this renewed campaign

As the nation and the world share our thoughts, memories and condolences at this very sad time - let us Veterinary folk remember how much our Queen loved animals and how much they loved her back. The team at LSVN pay tribute to a truly remarkable, caring and inspiring sovereign - a country girl at heart, who wanted to be a farmer's wife. It's the end of an era and a new beginning as King Charles 111, takes the throne. R.I.P. Queen Elizabeth 11. 🙏❤️
