ANNUAL OPEN DAY: Its just over a week until our annual open day. This is held by South Yorkshire Police & South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Joint Community Safety Department.

The annual event will be held at Lifewise Centre Hellaby Rotherham S66 8LB our purpose built fully interactive set , which is just off Junction 1 of the M18, and easily accessible by various bus services. On Thursday 6th August 2026

We will have lots of free child friendly activities on the day including, crafting stations, uniform try on and finger printing plus lots of other things to see and do. There is lots of great advice for our older visitors and lots of partners attending including:

South Yorkshire Safer Roads, Bluebell wood, Sheffield Children's Hospital, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Victim Support, With Me in Mind, REMIDI, Cranstoun, RDASH Adult Support, Red Cross, TSB, PS Homeless Charity, Andy's Man Club, Help for Heroes, Citizens Advice. Emergency Services Museum, White Knight Blood Bikes plus Police & Fire vehicles.

It’s really a day any age can enjoy and learn something new, it’s not an event exclusively for children.

The event is free to attend and open to all ages. Cash will be required to purchase refreshments on the day, if required and all profits are donated to charity.

The day will start at 1000 and end at 1500.

There is no car parking on site, the Lifewise car park will be closed for the event.

We would like to say a massive thank you to our parents and families for coming to celebrate with us tonight and for choosing us and trusting us to care for your children. We have absolutely loved caring for, nurturing and bonding with your children and are so proud of the little people they’ve become. We wish them all the best of luck in their new exciting adventure!

Just a reminder that we are closing at 4.30pm today across both sites due to our graduation party❤️

Whilst the UV levels were lower this morning, we’ve had lots of fun playing in the pool, water fights with pistols and water balloons and having ice lollies 🍭

We’ve had a garden revamp 🔨 🪵

A massive thanks to Carla, Gina and their husbands for spending their weekend improving our garden area!

We can’t wait for the children to see and be able to enjoy all of our new areas 🌳🌈

✏️ School uniform ✏️
The Salvation Army charity shop in Conisbrough has 2 large boxes of uniform outside their window, priced at £1 per item. This may be ideal for parents/carers of children who are leaving for school in September.

We have had a brilliant day!

The children have enjoyed a fitness obstacle course and practising their goal scoring ⚽️

Just a reminder that children are welcome to attend today in football tops, along with staff to celebrate Englands first game in the World Cup. Feel free to wear whatever team or country you support. We will be having football themed activities throughout the day ⚽️
