🎸🎶 We loved singing and dancing today when Beth’s grandad came to nursery with his guitar!
The children joined in with lots of nursery rhymes, clapping and smiling all the way through.
Music helps children listen, move and have fun together! 😊

🐸 We now have frogs 🐸
The children have enjoyed watching the life cycle of a frog from tiny tadpoles to frogs!
They have developed an understanding of life cycles and the natural world whilst observing the different stages.
The frogs will now be released to their new home 🐸

Part-Time DIY Handyman Wanted – Jumpin Jacks Nursery , Edenthorpe

We are looking for a reliable and skilled DIY handyman to assist with general maintenance at our friendly nursery.

Role Details:
• A few days per month (flexible scheduling, as and when required)
• £15 per hour
• Based on-site at the nursery

Duties Include:
• General repairs and upkeep
• Basic carpentry and joinery tasks
• Maintenance of furniture, fixtures, and outdoor areas

Requirements:
• Strong joinery / carpentry skills essential
• Experience in general DIY and maintenance work
• No plumbing or electrical work required
• must be dependable, tidy, and able to work independently
• DBS check will be essential

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible, part-time work in a welcoming environment.

This morning we had a very egg-citing visitor… Tom! 🐣😄
Tom came to tell us the Easter story and we were super good at sitting, listening and joining in. We heard all about kindness, caring and new life 🌼
There were lots of great questions, some wiggly bottoms, and plenty of smiles along the way! 😆

📚 World Book Day 2026📚

🚧 Today some of our Buttercups have been on a walk in the local community to see the nearby construction site and all the construction vehicles 🚧

Reminder - Thursday 5th March is World book day 📕
Children are welcome to come to nursery dressed as their favourite book characters all week.

They are also welcome to bring in their favourite books to share with their friends ☺️
