Lovely morning spent at Shaw Wood Academy sorting all the books for the library that we have donated as part of our fundraising.

Keep your eyes peeled for our next project.

Many thanks to our Shaw Wood Extra Milers for their fundraising efforts and donations of books to our school library. These books are a fabulous addition to our school library. 📖📚

Also, did you know they have their own page. Please give them a follow to see the work they are doing for the benefit of our children and how you could potentially get involved.

Pupils in school were invited to take part in a ‘Design a logo’ competition for the newly formed PTA group, the Shaw Wood Extra Milers.

Thank you to all the children who took part in the competition there were so many amazing logos and it was a hard decision when it came to picking a winner.

Our profile picture is the winning logo, it was designed by one of the Year 5 pupils. We awarded her with a £30 Amazon voucher, as a prize and also a thank you from the Shaw Wood Extra Milers.

How about giving our man of the day/week/year Kevin Barrass a vote aka our favourite lollipop man.

Not only does he make sure that our children and us get across those roads safely he is there come rain or shine with the biggest smile on his face and dishing those high fives out to everyone.

How many of our children get excited on a daily basis to see him I know mine does.

So let's give our Kev a vote and make sure he gets a very deserved award 🏆
