Cheeky Monkeys' Nature Tea Party 🫖🫖🫖

Yesterday, the cheeky monkeys engaged in a nature-themed tea party held in front of the nursery. The little ones carefully poured water from the teapot into their cups containing tea bags. They then gathered natural treasures like sticks, leaves, and grass, using spoons to blend them into their unique nature tea concoctions. This activity encouraged the children to utilise their exploration skills, engage their senses, and use their imagination.

During this week, the Cheeky Monkey's have engaged with the holiday and pirate chatter basket. This activity is aimed to enhance children's communication and language skills. The children have interacted with various props while staff members modelled language. The children enthusiastically participated by expressing phrases such as "I've been on holiday on an aeroplane" and "I'm a pirate, let's look for treasure".

As the term comes to a close, we bid farewell to some of our children who are moving on to school. During the past week, the Cheeky monkey's marked the occasion with a series of celebratory events, including a teddy bears' picnic and sports day. One of the highlights was the fascinating reptile rendezvous, where the children had the opportunity to interact with and learn about various animals. Additionally, they enjoyed an enlightening session with Forest Kind, exploring the wonders of the natural world, alongside our regular rugby tots and Kixx sessions. It was indeed a week filled with joy and excitement for the children, and we wish those starting school all the best in this new chapter of their lives.
