Founder’s Day is back on Sunday 6 September, and we’d love to see former pupils back on the pitch as part of our Alumni Rugby and Hockey teams.
Whether you played every week or haven’t picked up a stick or rugby ball in years, all alumni players are welcome. It’s about reconnecting with old teammates, enjoying a friendly bit of competition and being part of a great Founder’s Day tradition.

Yesterday’s Speech Day brought our school community together once again for a wonderful celebration. Despite the soaring temperatures, it was a pleasure to see so many pupils, families, staff, governors and friends of the school joining us to mark the occasion.
One of the greatest joys of Speech Day is welcoming back former pupils. It is always a pleasure to see our alumni return, reconnect with old friends and teachers, and celebrate alongside our current pupils. Their presence is a reminder that the friendships and sense of community built here endure long after school days are over.
I managed to gather a few of our returning alumni for these photographs, although there were many more whom I didn't manage to catch before they disappeared into conversations and reunions! Thank you to every former pupil who came back to share the day with us and thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Speech Day such a special occasion.

🏏 Yesterday saw the inaugural Hill House Alumni Cricket Match take place at the wonderful Blaxton pitch and pavilion...and what a fantastic day it was.

Despite soaring temperatures and baking sunshine, a strong Hill House Alumni XI took on the school 1st XI in a closely contested match. With over 500 runs scored, players and spectators alike were treated to an entertaining match from start to finish, with the current pupils eventually securing a narrow victory.

While the result went the way of the school 1st XI, the true success of the day was bringing together generations of Hill House pupils and staff. It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, share memories, and celebrate the friendships, community and lifelong connections that make Hill House so special.

A huge thank you to our catering team for providing a delicious buffet throughout the day, and to everyone who gave up their time to play, support, organise and attend.

The success of the event means this will now become an annual fixture in the Hill House calendar, and we are already looking forward to next year's match.

We also look forward to welcoming former pupils back for our annual Founder's Day celebrations on 6 September.

We are absolutely delighted to celebrate the success of former pupil Poppy Bazlinton (Class of 2024), who has accepted her place at Urdang Academy to study Musical Theatre from September. 🎭✨

After six months of auditions and receiving four fantastic offers, this achievement is a wonderful reflection of Poppy’s dedication, perseverance, and exceptional talent.

Everyone at Hill House is incredibly proud of all that Poppy has achieved so far, and we look forward to following her exciting journey in the world of musical theatre.

Congratulations, Poppy, we know you have a very bright future ahead! 🌟
