Chief Coach and Founder of Ultimate Tkd Kathy Hook has been in tkd since 1982 and has achieved many firsts - and not just her medals. She excelled as both an athlete and a coach.

The first British Woman to win a G1 gold

Competed in the 1st Women’s World Championships in 1987 Barcelona

Competed in the 1992 Olympic Games- the first GB women competed at.

The first British women to win a World Championship medal since the 1st worlds in 1987.

The first British woman to achieve 6th dan, now a 7th dan

Represented GB in 5 World Championships, 5 Europeans, 3 World Cups, 2 European Cups and 1 Olympic Games as an athlete.

And as a coach Senior Worlds, Senior Europeans, Junior Worlds, Cadet Worlds and 2 Cadet Europeans.

It’s a huge year for Ultimate Taekwondo Club. Formed in 1996 it makes us 30 years old….
