We had so much fun this half term 🙌

🌍As part of Remake Festival 2026 we travelled around the world in one day. With activities from 22 different countries and visitors from all over our region we journeyed through all the continents, stamping our passports along the way.

✍️The feedback has been wonderful and our staff and students enjoyed it just as much as the families who visited us. Keep an eye out for our summer events.

Doncaster Children's University graduations will take place from 13th-15th July 2026. Children who have received a certificate this academic year will be eligible to attend.

📅The deadline to update hours will be 3rd June, any hours submitted after this date will not count toward this year's ceremony. Schools will be allocated dates once final totals have been calculated. Invitations will be sent out on or before 19th June.

🙌The South Yorkshire Children's University (SYCU) Spring Holiday Activity Newsletter is here, showcasing a wide range of enriching activities designed to support children’s continued learning and skills development beyond the classroom during the half-term break.

The programme encourages families to explore Learning Destination activities across South Yorkshire, including opportunities in Barnsley, and Rotherham and Sheffield, helping children access high-quality learning experiences in their local communities.

📖 Communication & literacy skills through storytelling and creative writing workshops, including imaginative pirate-themed sessions
🎨 Creativity, problem-solving and independence through Home Learning Challenges that promote hands-on learning at home

🎓 Children’s University Credits
All activities are validated Learning Destinations, enabling children to earn Children’s University (CU) credits by recording their learning in their online CU Passport to Learning.
