A very warm welcome to Dunscroft Warriors JFC who are now a validated learning destination for Doncaster Children's University!

They offer footballing opportunities for girls and boys from the age of 2 years old. There is no obligation to sign up to one of their teams however, they offer a complete pathway for those that are interested.

Their learning objectives include physical, mental and social development. Players learn the fundamental physical skills required to play football and develop whilst also improving fitness, wellbeing and mental health. There is a huge social aspect of what they do where players are encouraged to develop their social skills by communicating and building relationships with their peers.
The club ethos is based around development and giving players the opportunities to enjoy football whilst learning new skills.

Further information about their sessions can be found here:

Researchers at the University of Sheffield are looking for children aged 6–9 to take part in a fun online learning study. Your child will play learning games online from home to help them understand how children learn (up to two hours in total, but you can break this up). Adults will also complete a caregiver survey (up to 40 minutes).

🎁 Children and families who complete the study will receive 2 Children's University Credits if they have a CU Passport to Learning and a £40 gift card from the study team.

🦔 Looking for a fun activity to keep children learning and exploring?

A parent recently shared this fantastic hedgehog-themed activity with us after taking part, and we thought it looked like a great way for children to learn more about hedgehogs, wildlife, and how we can all help care for our environment.

Why not take a look and get involved? 🌿

🎪Last week Campus Doncaster we had a day full of circus-themed fun 🎪

In the morning Grace from Active Fusion warmed us all up, then taught us some brilliant dance moves followed by some impressive circus skills 🤹‍♀️🤡

Once we had all had lunch we were joined by Lisa from Hidden Treasures jewellery & home accessories who had prepared us some circus themed crafts. We created clowns and circus tents before the children's imaginations took over and creativity mode was activated 👨🏽‍🎨

Check out the children's awesome makes in the gallery below 👇

We asked the children for suggestions for future activity camps and they suggested; 3D Printing, jewellery making, .crafting, gymnastics, sports and practical skills.

✍We would love to hear your suggestions, please add them in the comments

If you are a local learning destination and would like to team up to showcase your activity please get in touch ✉
