The team at South Yorkshire Children's University have produced a worksheet so that you can earn CU credits for taking part. Join Learning Destination Grimm & Co. in Rotherham and step into the archives, uncover stories and bring them to life through shadow puppetry and storytelling!

This programme is for children and young people aged 7 - 11.

Step inside Grimm & Co and become a story-keeper of the building's hidden history. Across three magical sessions, you'll uncover real archive treasures - old photographs, a newspaper from 1910, and more!

And breathe new life into them using shadow, light and your own imagination!

Then, you will share your ideas with a professional artist to turn your work into a brand new art installation.

No writing experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to listen to stories hiding in the dark!

What a fantastic three nights it has been celebrating the achievements of our incredible Children's University graduates!
Across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening at Doncaster College we proudly welcomed more than 200 children across the graduation stage, recognising their commitment to learning beyond the classroom. From magical moments and inspiring speeches to ice cream, gifts, and the traditional cap throw, each ceremony was a wonderful celebration of everything our young learners have achieved.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make these events so special, college staff and students, senior leaders, and the dedicated staff from our partner schools, and of course the children and their families.
We would also like to thank Steve Judge for recording an inspiring message for our graduates, encouraging them to believe in themselves, embrace new opportunities, and continue striving for their goals.
Gone Wild Forest School for their support on Monday night and National Literacy Trust in Doncaster for so generously donating books for the children to receive as gifts.
Graduation is always one of the highlights of the Children's University year. It is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the hundreds of hours of enrichment our children have taken part in, the new skills they have developed, the confidence they have gained, and the interests they have explored. Along the way, they have discovered new talents, broadened their horizons, and taken important steps towards future possibilities.
To every graduate, congratulations. We are so proud of all you have achieved and cannot wait to see where your learning journey takes you next. 🎓⭐
