Yesterday saw our fantastic Year 3 football team play in the prestigious Stoneacre Cup at the Eco-Power Stadium.
The team played 7 other schools in a league format, finishing in a respectable 5th place. All the matches were very tight affairs with the last game even ending in a penalty shootout! Our incredible team played with pride, determination, sportsmanship and plenty of skill. We are so proud of you all!

Stoneacre Cup 2026 Squad Announcement!

We are proud to reveal some of our official Stoneacre Cup squad for the forthcoming tournament at the Eco-Power Stadium, home of Doncaster Rovers. The rest of the squad will be revealed after half term.

These talented year three stars are ready to wear the Scawsby Junior Academy badge with pride and give it their all on the pitch. Thank you Stoneacre for the incredible new kit!

Let’s all get behind the squad and show them plenty of support as they prepare for this year’s prestigious Stoneacre Cup tournament. Can we bring the trophy home for a third time?

Stoneacre Cup 2026

Following the huge success of the Stoneacre Cup football tournament in previous years, the Doncaster based company have decided to repeat the competition again in June and we have, once again, been invited! This year’s tournament, held at the Eco Power Stadium, will include a year 3 mixed team, which will compete for prize money and the prestigious title of 2025 Stoneacre Cup Champions.

During last year’s hotly contested tournament, Scawsby Junior Academy won the coveted trophy as well as a second place in the social media interactions table. This all earned the school over £700 towards our PE and sports provision. This year, we hope to repeat our victory!
