We are delighted to share that Hesley Group is supporting Little Rainbows Doncaster Childrenβs Autism Charity as a proud sponsor of Autism Pride Day, taking place at Sandall Park in Doncaster on 13th June 2026.
David Maynard, our Chief Commercial Officer, shared:
"Hesley Group, we have been supporting people with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs for 51 years. Inclusion, acceptance and celebrating neurodiversity are at the heart of who we are, so it is a real privilege to be associated with an event that brings people, families and communities together in such a positive way.
Autism Pride Day is an important opportunity to celebrate autistic people, raise awareness, strengthen community connections and promote a greater understanding of neurodiversity. Events like this help create a bigger, better and more inclusive community where everyone feels seen, valued and celebrated.
We are proud to support Little Rainbows Doncaster Children's Autism Charity and the fantastic work they do for children, families and communities across Doncaster."
Together, we can make a difference. πππππ©·

What better way to kick off World Environment Day than with the launch of our very own litter-picking stations at Meadow View.
Our amazing logo was carefully designed by the people we support, and we canβt wait to start using these to make a real difference in keeping our environment clean and beautiful.

π΄ It was an Indian-inspired Tasty Tuesday this week at Meadow View
Using onions grown in our allotment and fresh mint from the garden, the people we support enjoyed a delicious trio of treats β fragrant onion bhajis, refreshing mint and cucumber raita, and crunchy poppadom's. Everyone really loved the variety of flavours and textures on offer.
Our next Tasty Tuesday will take place on 30th June. Weather permitting, weβre hoping to use a selection of fresh vegetables from the allotment π±
Fingers crossed for the perfect mix of sunshine and rain! βοΈπ§οΈ

Over the past few weeks, Joe the Woodwork Tutor and Jayne Gill the Lead Activity and Engagement Facilitator have been making Trophies with the individuals at Meadow View in preparation for the Great British Care Cycle Relay which takes place from 11th - 15th June 2026.
This monumental cycling event aims to raise awareness of social care in the United Kingdom. Run by Championing Social Care, the event (now in it's fourth year) celebrates care services that are at the heart of every community.
21 care homes have kindly offered the cyclists refreshment stops along the route. Each of the care homes will be given one of these fabulous trophies as a sign of appreciation.
Well done, they look great! And good luck to everyone who will be taking part next week.

On the 14th of May, one of the people we support in Woodland View, along with the team, enjoyed an amazing day out Go Karting! πποΈβ¨
This was a brand-new experience and it was a huge success. From the moment he arrived, there was excitement all around, and once suited up in the racing gear and helmet, he really embraced the activity and got fully involved in the sport.
To make sure the day was comfortable and enjoyable, the team arranged an autism-friendly session, creating the perfect environment for him to feel confident and thrive. π
The result? A fantastic experience that was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone involved!
A big well done to the team for their thoughtful planning and support, helping to create such a memorable and empowering day. π
