Here’s a selection of our students’ fantastic work on sustainability 🌍♻️
Students designed posters to encourage Parker’s Café customers to bring their own cups, helping to reduce waste and save 20p. Along the way they showcased great creativity, using AI to design their posters, embedding English skills in the planning stages and digital skills in the final creations.
Some of our students are pictured proudly with their work 👏
Well done to everyone involved!

The Pride of Yorkshire art trail is currently taking place, featuring 150 life-sized lion sculptures across the region.
Let's see how many of the sculptures we can find as a college community!
📸If you come across any on your travels, snap a pic and share it in the comments
Organised by Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, the trail celebrates the hospital’s 150th anniversary. The lions have been designed by British artists and are on display in locations across Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, and Rotherham.
In addition, there are 150 smaller “cubs” created by schools and community groups. These can be found at key landmarks such as Meadowhall, Doncaster Racecourse, Oakwell Stadium, and Gulliver’s Valley.
🦁 The Pride of Yorkshire Sculpture Trail is now LIVE!
✨From today, you can find and collect our incredible lions, lionesses and cubs right across Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley.
🗺️ Want a paper map? Pick one up from any of our merchandise locations across the trail. Find your nearest one here: prideofyorkshire.org/pride-of-yorkshire-locations-revealed/

🐣 Exciting news from Glenville! 🐣
After lots of patient waiting, all ten chicks successfully hatched and the excitement was incredible!
Students couldn’t stay away, gathering around during breaks and rushing in each morning to see what had hatched overnight. Watching the chicks grow so quickly over the week was amazing. They grew so much that we even had to set up an extra pen!
It’s been a truly special learning experience, filled with smiles, curiosity, and plenty of happy chatter. Even those who were unsure at first soon got involved, and it was lovely to see both students and staff visiting and even getting the chance to hold the chicks
Everyone is already asking… when can we do it again?
A huge thank you to everyone who helped care for the chicks, especially our fantastic Animal Care team who gave up their weekend to look after them 💛

Our students are making progress with their bike maintenance project 🚲🔧
From stripping down and rebuilding bikes to spraying and finishing, they’re developing real technical skills every step of the way. The finishing touch? Adding our college logo as custom stickers, making each bike part of our community identity.
These restored bikes will be used at future college events and around site, giving students pride in seeing their work in action 🙌
Take a look at the photos to see our students hard at work.
