Fledglings Day Nursery

We have such a busy week this week exploring oral health week at nursery.

We have been exploring the tooth brushes and how we can use them to brush our teeth.

We explored and tasted some healthy fruits.

We have made our own mouth in the Sky room using the creative resources.

Not forgetting our tooth brushing club that we take part in after our lunch in the Tree and the Sky room every day.

This week at nursery the children have been taking parts in different dandelion themed crafts to explore Dandelion day.

Dandelion Day (April 15th) is a key event during April's "Month of the Military Child," celebrating the resilience of armed forces children. Dandelions are the official emblem because they put down roots anywhere, echoing military children who bloom wherever they are carried, surviving challenges like frequent relocation.

The Nest room children have had the opportunity to explore a lovely Easter exploration activity.

This morning we have been invited to make some sticky Spring flower pictures to put up on our window.

If you would like to make one at home over the Easter break all you need is some sticky back plastic, some lolly sticks and some flowers

Welcome to our enchanted fairy garden! Lets join the fairies for an egg hunt today to celebrate Easter! The children can explore the fairy garden and help the fairies find what is is hidden in our eggs, Will the children be able to help our fairies find our baby fairies and chick's? Happy hunting sky room! 🐣🐰

This morning the Sky room children have had a visit from zoolab. We've listened to a story and explored the different animals feeling their shells, having a hold and talking about what they eat and where they come from.

Learning opportunities in the Sky room today…
The Sky room have had the opportunity to develop their fine motor skills using the pincers to pick up the animals.

There has been an invitation for the children to mix colours using the colour recipe cards to help them make marks.

As part of the key text The Gruffalo the children have been exploring a Gruffalo themed tuff tray outside in the garden.

Today the Nest room have been busy planting some cress seeds as part of their Easter activities this week.

In the Sky room the children have had the opportunity to explore chocolate playdough with sprinkles to enhance their play experience.

Today the Tree room children have had the opportunity to explore the babies and how we can take care of them washing, nappy and feeding.

Out in the garden the children have been invited to explore the shapes in the coloured sand.

As part of our key text Hooray for Fish the children have been getting creative using the paints and the fish shapes to make marks.
