🐾 DOG FIRST AID 🐾

I recently completed a Pediatric first aid course to update my skills/knowledge, I also needed to do the same for the dogs so attended Dog first aid South Yorkshire, and it's the best animal first aid course I've been to.

Definitely recommend 👌

Yesterday I delivered a course in Netherton, Wakefield.
A fantastic group of 19 pet professionals and pet owners (some were a little camera shy 🫣).
And for those that chose to refresh your training with me, thank you it really does make me do a happy dance 🥰💃.

Well done to all 👏

I have a busy week, this week with 2 staff training and a my first course for West Yorkshire Police dog licencing officers.

🕷🕷 TARANTULA TOES 🕷🕷

Following the Tarantula Vs Spider workshop last week i thought this might be interesting for some of you guys.

Next week we are focusing on Scorpions 🦂 but we will still have a chance to see a tarantula or 2 (i won't be bringing all 9 like i did the previous week)
And we can magnify 🔎 parts of their body and maybe get to see those TOE BEANS close up 🫘 😃

🌸🌸🌸 𝘿𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙮 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝘼𝙞𝙙 🌸🌸🌸

Wanted to post this Monday but had a busy couple of days with some of the animals.
So....

What a weekend I've had !!

I can't recommend Jenny enough. She's absolutely amazing at what she does and what a lovely lady with a wealth of knowledge, experience and over 15 years as a front line paramedic.

I've done first aid courses in the past, but nothing like this one. I'm so much more confident in pediatric first aid and what to do in an emergency. Which to be honest wouldn't every single person who has a child think that this course is essential?

To save your child in an emergency, especially before the ambulance can get there.

I am absolutely baffled why I didn't do this pregnant so I was prepared before having kids of my own. Im sure every new mum researches so many things, but whats more important than being alive ? or preserving life in an emergency!

It's also prepared me better for work. Obviously it's clear to see i work with animals on a daily basis but I'm also around children just as much! If it wasn't for the children at schools, nurseries, home ed groups or birthday parties wanting to book then there are no workshops.

They say "don't work with children and animals " 🤣 but that's my breat and butter, working with them at the same time.

So it's imperative I keep my fist first aid skills up to date incase anything should unfortunately occur during class. So on Saturday I completed my 12 hour blended level 3 Pediatric first aid.

This was with Daisy First Aid Barnsley, Castleford and Pontefract, by a lovely lady called Jenny.
Can't recommend Jenny enough to anyone and everyone, not just parents but anyone if you work with children as a profession.

As wouldn't it be amazing that everyone knew how to try and preserve a life and help keep someone alive in an emergency ⚠️

You never know , it could be a loved one, one day 😱

I will definitely be returning for refresher courses to keep my knowledge up to date, and I'll also be booking Jenny in for a first aid for kids class for the kids and everyone to join in. So if your wanting to get booked onto that keep following for updates on my page. 😃 Just need a date we are both available.

While scientists speculate that some of these "slaps" might be a way to manage the fish's movement or maintain dominance during a collective hunt, many incidents seem entirely random and unnecessary.

This quirky interaction in the deep blue sea provides a unique glimpse into the sophisticated and sometimes grumpy nature of one of the ocean's most mysterious inhabitants, proving that even in the wild, social interactions can be quite unpredictable.
