Our ‘High Flyer’ for July 2026 is Tracey!

Tracey has been a valued member of the Flying Start family for some time, having stepped into the role of nursery cook in September last year. She has revitalised the menu to feature a diverse selection of healthy and nutritious meals that are enjoyed by both children and staff. Tracey consistently thinks creatively when developing new dishes, ensuring that children with allergies can still enjoy the same foods, simply adapted to meet their dietary needs. Recently, she has passed food hygiene maintaining our 5 star rating, and we feel fortunate to have her on our team. Tracey is always willing to lend a hand in the rooms and keeps everyone smiling throughout the day.

Becca is an essential member of our Vulcans team. Throughout June, she has provided invaluable support to all our families during their school transition. Becca has taken the time to visit schools to ensure our children experience a smooth move to school. She has also prepared detailed transition reports specific to our Vulcans children. Embracing messy play, Becca has ignited the children's curiosity through engaging activities, particularly with spray bottles to create wonderful artwork. Her support extends to both families and staff, as she is always ready to lend a hand, regardless of the room she’s in. We truly appreciate her dedication and commitment.

Shannon consistently excels in her role as our manager. She strives to support our families and practitioners by assisting our little ones with sleep/bottle routines, covering in rooms and much more. During April, she has been especially helpful to the Little Hawks team as we welcomed new babies and staff into the Flying Start family. Additionally, Shannon is focused on enhancing high-quality adult-directed learning and interactions throughout the nursery. She is also committed to her professional growth by engaging in training and meetings outside of the nursery.
