Our ‘High Flyer’ for September 2026 is Izzy !

Throughout September, Izzy has been spending some time away from Little Hurricanes, supporting our Little Hawks room whilst practitioners have been on leave. Izzy has adapted her practice to support our babies with their everyday routines such as sleep time and bottle feeds with ease. Her enthusiasm in the room hasn’t gone unnoticed, especially when singing nursery rhymes, sharing stories and providing that important secure base for our little ones.

Izzy has been assisting Little Hurricanes with adapting their environment, sparking fascination, curiosity and motivation to learn new skills and knowledge such as the harvest festival spot tray, introducing exciting vocabulary such as parsnip, pumpkin, soil and plant.

Thank you, Izzy!

🎉 🎈 Happy 25 Years to Flying Start! 🎈 🎉

What an incredible day we had on Saturday! We celebrated our milestone 25th anniversary with the ultimate family and friends fun day!

From non stop dancing and beautiful festival inspired face painting to bucking bronco rides and shared memories, it was the perfect way to mark a quarter of a century.

A massive heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing community, families and team - both past and present. Flying Start wouldn’t be the special place it is without every single one of you. Here’s to the next 25 years of learning, laughing and growing together!

🍎🏫✏️ First Day of School ✏️🏫🍎

“A little hand to hold, a bag upon your back,
A smile, a wave, then off along the track.
New friends to meet, new things to learn,
So many exciting pages to turn!

So spread your wings and play your part,
And remember, you’ll always be part of Flying Start!” ✈️

Wishing all our little ones a wonderful first day at BIG school as they embark on this exciting next step in their learning journey.

A Special Visit from Postman Jones!

This afternoon, our Vulcan children enjoyed a special visit from our friendly local postman, Jones. He shared what he does and his responsibilities, and the kids even got a peek inside his van!

A big thank you to Postman Jones for such an engaging experience!

Our ‘High Flyer’ for August 2026 is Elouise!

Elouise has smoothly moved into our Little Hawks team as a key person. She brings a positive attitude and has worked hard to get to know the daily roles and responsibilities in the room. Throughout August, Elouise has helped the team by planning engaging activities like the ‘Busy beach’ spot tray, which encourages our little ones to explore through their senses. She consistently goes the extra mile to ensure our babies feel safe and secure in their environment. Elouise has truly been a wonderful support in our Little Hawks room and we cannot thank her enough for all of her hard work!

We would also like to wish Elouise all the best of luck as she goes on her travels around South East Asia. We cannot wait to hear all about your experiences upon your return in December.

Thank you, Elouise!

Our ‘High Flyer’ for July 2026 is Tracey!

Tracey has been a valued member of the Flying Start family for some time, having stepped into the role of nursery cook in September last year. She has revitalised the menu to feature a diverse selection of healthy and nutritious meals that are enjoyed by both children and staff. Tracey consistently thinks creatively when developing new dishes, ensuring that children with allergies can still enjoy the same foods, simply adapted to meet their dietary needs. Recently, she has passed food hygiene maintaining our 5 star rating, and we feel fortunate to have her on our team. Tracey is always willing to lend a hand in the rooms and keeps everyone smiling throughout the day.

Thank you, Tracey!
