Every September, we sadly say goodbye to our university leavers, this year it’s Emma’s turn. Emma joined our competition squad around 7 years ago and enjoyed great success, progressing to bronze level. Emma also became a coach, supporting our Saturday beginners and competition squad.

Alongside gymnastics and coaching at Elmfield, Emma achieved eight grade 9s and one grade 8 at GCSE. Gaining a scholarship to Queen Ethelburga’s college where she achieved A* A* B B, A levels.

Emma is now heading to Loughborough University to study Maths. We miss you already Emma and look forward to following the next chapter of Emma’s gymnastics at university 💜

In July, Holly W, Jake W, Josh B and Ryan qualified for the British Tumbling and Trampolining NDP finals.
They travelled to Birmingham the evening before the competition for podium training.
Results:
🌟Holly W 20th in Great Britain
🌟Jake W 8th in Great Britain
🌟Unfortunately Ryan injured his ankle during podium training and had to withdraw 🥲
🌟Josh B 5th in Great Britain.

Josh also qualified for the trampolining final, where he placed 8th in Great Britain.

Josh is the first Elmfield gymnast to qualify for both the British tumbling and trampolining finals in the same year.

Well done everyone!

A huge thank you to Burhouse Construction for funding our brand-new competition vault at Elmfield🤸‍♂️✨

This fantastic addition is already making a huge difference, giving our gymnasts the opportunity to develop new skills, build confidence and prepare for competitions. We’re incredibly grateful for your support and investment in our gymnasts.

We have already had our first successes at our most recent competition with a 🥇🥈🥉 on vault!

Take a look at some of our gymnasts putting the new vault to good use! 💜
