An Amazing Opportunity for Our Year 8 Students

We are delighted to be offering our Year 8 students the opportunity to take part in work shadowing — an exciting experience designed to give them an early insight into the world of work.

Work shadowing allows students to spend time with a professional, observe a working environment and gain a better understanding of what different careers can look like. It is a fantastic chance for students to step outside the classroom, develop their confidence and communication skills, and begin making connections between what they learn at school and the opportunities available to them in the future.

For Year 8 students in particular, this is a valuable opportunity to explore, ask questions and be inspired. They don't need to have their future career mapped out — the purpose is simply to broaden their horizons, discover new possibilities and start thinking about the skills and experiences that can help them achieve their ambitions.

We strongly encourage parents and carers to support their child in making the most of this opportunity. A day of work shadowing could be the experience that sparks a new interest, builds confidence or inspires a future ambition.

Our Enrichment Offer is packed with exciting opportunities for students to explore their interests and develop new skills.

From sport and creativity to wellbeing, academic interests and new experiences, there’s something for everyone. Our enrichment programme is a fantastic way for students to build confidence, meet new people and discover talents they never knew they had.

We encourage every student to take a look through the booklet, get involved and make their enrichment journey their own by creating their own enrichment timetable.

We’re incredibly excited to get our enrichment programme underway and can’t wait to see our students getting involved and trying something new!
