✨Is your child starting School in 2027? ✨

'Your Child's Journey to Reception Questionnaire'

As part of our work to support parents and carers, all families across North Lincolnshire now receive a questionnaire in a text message in the year before their child starts school. The questionnaire can be requested in other formats and languages if needed.

Some of the topics covered in the questionnaire include:
✨Communication
✨Physcial Skills
✨Toileting
✨Social Skills and Relationships

There's also space to add your comments, queries or worries regarding your child starting school. If you know, or think your child may have special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), developmental differences or delays some of the questions may not be appropriate at this time. If you would like to discuss this prior to completion, please get in touch.

Completed questionnaires will be reviewed by our dedicated school readiness nursery nurses who may contact you to discuss the information on the form and offer advice and support.

This World Su***de Prevention day remember that su***de can affect every one of us. By raising awareness, reducing the stigma & encouraging action we can help to reduce the instances of su***de around the world.

For young people, struggling with your mental health can sometimes feel overwhelming or lonely - but you don’t have to face it alone. Talking to someone you trust, whether that’s a friend, family member, teacher or professional, can be an important first step.

Here are some useful numbers for young people to reach out if they are struggling with their mental health.

Ever wonder the reason behind your childs' behaviour?
Would you like some practical tips for supporting their emotions and managing behaviours?

These relaxed, welcoming 90 minute sessions are ran by our School Readiness Community Nursery Nurses and are suitable for families with children aged up to 11 years of age. There's plenty of opportunities during the session to explore your current worries, struggles or concerns and time for peer to peer support too.

Spaces available to book on our next Understanding children's behaviour workshop.

Wednesday 23rd September, 10am-12noon at Ashby Community Hub.
