The Great Doncaster Bear Hunt is getting closer!

On Saturday 22nd August, we’re bringing one of the nation’s best-loved stories to life in Sir Nigel Gresley Square as part of the South Yorkshire Mayor’s Little Big Book Club.

Expect a magical adventure packed with:
📖 An interactive trail through storybook scenes
🎨 Live storytelling and illustration with Doncaster author and illustrator Phil Sheppard
✂️ Story-themed crafts and activities
🎁 A special story-themed treat to take home

And when your bear hunt is over, there’s plenty more family fun to enjoy as part of Summer in the City!

What a fantastic end of term treat for all our children in school as the ice cream van has come for a visit! A perfect way to say have a lovely summer holidays.

We are very proud to have won this year's trust Sustainability Award. Well done to the Climate Changers, Mrs Young and Mrs Hallam for driving the work we have been doing in school.

As we face another hot and sunny week in school, don't forget we have our Suncream Station outside the Early Years doors if you haven't managed to apply any to your child. It is open for anyone in school to access.

Doncaster children take part in creative writing competition with Ed Miliband

We were really pleased to welcome Phil Sheppard, Ed Miliband MP, Sally Jameson MP and members of The Rotary Club to school this morning for a special assembly.

The assembly celebrated one of our amazing pupils who has won a special writing competition open to all primary school pupils across Doncaster. As part of the Great Green Read children were given the chance to write a letter directly to Ed Miliband MP, sharing their thoughts, hopes, and ideas about the planet’s future.

We are incredibly proud of her and our work in school on sustainability and climate change which we were able to talk about with our visitors too.
