Forest Friends Woodland Playgroup

Castle & Knights Week has been packed with adventure at Forest Friends Woodland Playgroup!
Our little woodland explorers have been diving into imaginative medieval fun — and their creativity has been incredible.

In the Mud Kitchen Medieval Feast, children mixed “dragon soup,” “knight’s bread,” and woodland herbs to create royal banquets. This sensory play encouraged teamwork, storytelling, and lots of muddy giggles.

In our Sword & Shield Crafting Workshop, each child designed their own knight gear using cardboard, sticks, leaves and paint. We finished with a Knight Naming Ceremony where every brave adventurer proudly showed off their creations.

Our Castle & Knights Tuff Tray has become a world of tiny quests — complete with moats, dragons, knights, stones, moss and castle towers. Children built stories, solved problems, and worked together to protect their woodland kingdom.

It’s been a week full of imagination, nature play and medieval magic.

• Explore the reading tent

It’s going to be a week full of imagination, nature, and endless fun for little explorers and their teddies.
