Rossington Hall Riding for the Disabled

It was lovely to see some of our friends from The Rotary Club of Doncaster who popped in on Monday to present us with a cheque from money raised at their Quiz Nights. The amazing amount of money they raised for us will be a great help towards the ever-rising costs of feeding and caring for our horses so a huge Thank You to them. We are so grateful for all their continued support and fundraising on our behalf.

We were delighted to celebrate our wonderful volunteers as part of this year’s Volunteers Week. We had an evening get together on Saturday 6th June which gave some of our volunteers the chance to catch up with each other, and gave us the opportunity to say thank you and present Certificates of Appreciation to volunteers who have been with us for 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, 15 years and even 20 years! Our group is very lucky to have such a lovely team of volunteers. A great big thank you to each and every one of them for all their help and support.

A VERY BIG THANK YOU to stallholders, volunteers and everyone who came along to take part and support us at our Fun Dog Show on Sunday. We had a brilliant day, managed to raise some funds and absolutely loved seeing all the gorgeous dogs. Congratulations to Spencer who won Best in Show with Skye and to Imogen who came second with Simba.

We have been keeping an eye on the weather forecast, and it is looking to be a bit cooler on SUNDAY than we have been experiencing over the last few days, so we are still planning to go ahead with our FUN DOG SHOW on 31st MAY.

In case you haven’t been to previous events, the show is held inside a large indoor arena with plenty of ventilation and shade, and there will be an ample supply of water for refilling dog bowls. Everyone knows what is best for their doggy friends so please don’t forget to bring cool mats or anything else you may need to help them on the day. And obviously dogs should not be left in cars.

It is still going to be warm with temperatures expected to be hottest around 3pm towards the end of the show, so we ask that you use your discretion whether or not to attend, but we do hope that you can join us for another fun day. We look forward to seeing you and all your lovely dogs.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our tack sale yesterday. We really appreciate your support and it was just so lovely to see you all 🤩. Thank you to the National Horseracing College for their kind donation to our raffle. It was great to have Yorkshire Sharpening services and the Food Shack join us on the day also. We are very much looking forward to holding another RDA tack sale soon and will keep you all posted as to when this will be 🐴😊
