Ahoy, mateys! π΄ββ οΈ
What an exciting start to our Pirate Week! This morning, a mysterious pirate ship appeared in our classroom, along with a message in a bottle from a pirate. The letter spoke of hidden treasure and warned us not to go looking for it... but our curious crew couldn't resist the challenge!
The children worked brilliantly together to solve a series of rhyming clues. Using their fantastic teamwork, problem-solving skills, and determination, they successfully followed all 10 clues hidden around the setting.
At the end of the treasure hunt, we discovered a secret treasure map which led us to a chest filled with pirate treasures, exciting goodies for our Pirate Week adventures, and some delicious chocolate coins. The children loved exploring the treasure and celebrating their success as true pirates!
Now we just have to hope the pirate who left the letter doesn't discover that we found his treasure... π€¨ππ΄ββ οΈ

π Nursery's Bee Week
We had a fun, exciting and amazing Bee Week during the last week of half-term π celebrating everything about our busy little pollinators!
The children explored different types of bees and learned all about why they are so important to our world. We looked closely at their stripey patterns and talked about how bees help flowers, fruit and vegetables to grow πΌπ
We also got creative on a big scale, using mashers and a variety of tools to make fantastic bee-inspired artwork. The children loved getting messy, experimenting with patterns and working together to create some brilliant group pieces π¨β¨
To finish off our learning, we even tried a taste of honey π― and talked about how bees make it β a real favourite moment of the week!
As you can see from the photographs, it was a wonderful week full of fun, curiosity, creativity and hands-on learning ππ Well done Nursery!

π¦ What a fluttering fantastic day! π¦
Our Key Stage 1 children had an amazing time exploring the Tropical Butterfly House in Sheffield this week!
The children were absolutely mesmerised watching beautiful butterflies flutter around them, learning about their life cycles, and discovering the important role these incredible insects play in our world.
From spotting different species to observing caterpillars up close, it was a truly magical learning experience that brought our science curriculum to life!
A huge thank you to our wonderful staff for making this trip possible and to all the children for their excellent behaviour and enthusiasm.
