At Tornedale our shared vision is that of community, where everyone works together for the children. We wish to provide a safe and inclusive school where everyone is challenged and supported to reach their own individual potential. We aim to be creative and innovative in our approach and welcome new ideas to enhance learning experiences for everyone. We want our children, staff and parents to feel safe and happy and enjoy the experiences that learning provides. Did you know that we can offer flexible sessions for children in Nursery? To support working parents we also offer 30 hours provision. We are lucky to have a well-established private provider of a breakfast and after school club on site led by Mini Me’zzz. Therefore, at Tornedale, we can meet all your childcare needs. Thank you for taking the time to look at our website and to find out about our school. ACTIVE COMMUNITIES GRANT

We are delighted to share that Tornedale Infant Academy was awarded funding from the City of Doncaster Council through its Active Communities Grant programme. This funding has enabled us to expand our community outreach by partnering with a local care home and Debutots to deliver an exciting intergenerational project called "Getting the Generations Moving."

Led by the fantastic Becci from Debutots, the visits have brought together our pupils and care home residents through interactive, movement-based storytelling sessions. These engaging activities have highlighted the positive impact that young children can have on the wellbeing of older people, while also giving our pupils the opportunity to learn from the residents' wealth of knowledge, life experiences and wonderful stories.

It has been a truly heartwarming project, creating meaningful connections across generations and providing memorable experiences for everyone involved.

Our Assistant Headteacher, Mrs Greaves, on why learning at Tornedale doesn't stop at the classroom door.

Each key stage has its own dedicated outdoor area. Along with our Nature Nook, these give children the chance to learn actively, creatively and together.

Our early years outdoor provision is something we're especially proud of, particularly our Forest School.

Mrs Newsome, one of our Teaching Assistants, shares why Tornedale is the perfect place for your child to start their learning journey.

As a dedicated nursery and infant school for children aged 3-7, everything we do is shaped around how young children learn and develop.
