Pathways to Work (Advance Employment Hub) is making a real difference for the people we support, helping individuals build confidence, develop new skills, and take positive steps towards employment and sustainable future opportunities.

The Pathways funding is vital, as it enables us to provide specialist coaching to neurodivergent individuals who may not otherwise have access to this level of support. Through this funding, we can help people overcome barriers, recognise their strengths, and move closer to achieving their goals.

We are proud to deliver this valuable programme and to support our clients every step of the way as they progress towards brighter, more independent futures.

Another fantastic evening at our monthly Stride Social event!

This month’s quiz theme was all things cartoons, and it definitely brought out everyone’s competitive streak in the best possible way. From nostalgic classics to modern favourites, there were plenty of laughs, a few tricky questions, and lots of friendly rivalry along the way.

We really value our Stride Socials as they give both our clients and coaches the chance to step away from training, unwind, and enjoy some relaxed time together. It’s always great to see everyone chatting, connecting, and getting just a little bit competitive while still having a genuinely great time.

We’re already looking forward to the next one, especially as we’re switching things up with a Movies theme! We can't wait!

Another fantastic evening at Goals recently, filled with football, teamwork, and plenty of laughter from start to finish.

It was brilliant to see everyone getting stuck in again, with a great mix of energy, effort, and encouragement on and off the pitch. These sessions always have such a positive atmosphere, where it doesn’t matter whether you’re scoring goals, making assists, or just having a laugh with teammates, it’s all about enjoying the game and being part of it together.

It was also LW’s first time at Goals, and he absolutely loved it! He settled in straight away, got involved in the action, and quickly became part of the group. So much so, he’s joining us again!

We absolutely love these monthly football sessions. They’re a great opportunity to bring everyone together regularly, catch up, and share a few hours of football in a relaxed and welcoming environment. It’s not just about staying active (although that’s a big bonus), but also about building connections, boosting morale, and enjoying something we all genuinely look forward to each month.

Already counting down to the next one! ⚽️

Yesterday, our Director Logan Speight and Head of Services Ed Faulkner attended The Charity Hub networking event, made even more special as it was the first event back.

We’re so happy to see the Charity Hub events return, and we’d like to extend a huge thank you to Brett for inviting us to join as headline speakers.

We’re also really pleased to announce that we’ll be partnering with Charity Hub moving forward, working together to deliver more events that bring the sector together and strengthen collaboration across the community.

During the event, we also heard from Helping Hands CIC about the incredible work they’re doing to support vulnerable communities in Edlington. Their commitment to making a real difference was both inspiring and powerful to hear.

Events like this are a strong reminder of what can be achieved when organisations come together with a shared purpose.

Following our talk, it was amazing to speak with so many people who are passionate about creating change and improving the lives of neurodivergent individuals.

We’re looking forward to building on these conversations and continuing to grow meaningful partnerships that make a real difference, and we’re excited to continue with these fantastic events!

KM enjoyed an extended session, giving us the opportunity to do something a little different. We spent the afternoon exploring the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, which proved to be the perfect destination.

As someone with a keen interest in history, KM thoroughly enjoyed discovering the fascinating exhibits and learning more about historical artefacts, armour, and weapons from different periods. The visit provided plenty of opportunities for discussion, exploration, and engagement with topics that KM finds particularly interesting.

It was a fantastic way to make the most of the extended session, combining learning, enjoyment, and a chance to explore a unique cultural attraction. A memorable afternoon and a great experience all round. 😊🏰📜

Striding Forward CIC was founded with a simple belief - every neurodivergent adult deserves opportunities to thrive, connect, and be recognised for their strengths.

Across our communities, too many neurodivergent people face barriers to support, inclusion, and meaningful participation. We want to help change that by creating spaces where people feel welcomed, understood, and empowered.

Building on the strong foundations of the Stride community, Striding Forward CIC exists to reach even more adults and create opportunities that make a lasting difference.

By bringing people together through events, collaborations, digital platforms, and community initiatives, we're working to foster a culture where neurodivergent adults can build connections, share their experiences, and be celebrated for the unique perspectives and talents they bring to the world. 💙

Ashleigh joined Stride through the Advance Employment Hub Pathways to Work programme, an initiative designed to support adults on their journey into employment.

At Stride, we use this funding to provide personalised Independence Coaching for neurodivergent adults, helping individuals build confidence, increase motivation, develop independence, overcome barriers, and access opportunities within their community. Through our approach, we work alongside individuals to identify and address the challenges that may be preventing them from achieving their goals, whether that relates to confidence, social engagement, independent living skills, or employment. Every person's journey is unique, and support is tailored to their individual needs, goals, and aspirations.

For Ashleigh, this programme provided the opportunity to access the right support at the right time. Through dedicated one-to-one coaching with her Independence Coach, Abbie, she has grown in confidence, stepped outside of her comfort zone, and worked towards personal goals that previously affected her readiness for employment. Since starting the programme, Ashleigh has made incredible progress and has come on leaps and bounds. She now feels she has found the support that truly works for her and is moving forward with confidence and optimism for the future.

Since this video was filmed, Ashleigh has successfully secured employment! As a result of the programme, she now has taken the step into employment within a sector she is passionate about.

This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the hard work, determination, and commitment she has shown throughout her journey. We are incredibly proud of everything she has accomplished and are excited to see where this new chapter takes her.

Our Craft Club on 19th May was a fantastic success, with even more clients joining us for a creative afternoon. Clients and coaches enjoyed making beautiful floral wreaths, and the finished creations looked amazing!

It was wonderful to see everyone having fun, expressing their creativity, and spending time together. We absolutely love our Craft Club sessions, and judging by the smiles, our clients and coaches do too. 💙
