🌟 Young Enterprise: Ready to Succeed 🌟

What a fantastic start to the new academic year at Queen’s University Belfast for the Young Enterprise: Ready to Succeed event!

We were delighted to celebrate St Joseph’s Grammar School / Scoil Iósaef, Donaghmore achieving Centre of Excellence status. 🏆👏

It was wonderful to join leaders from Centre of Excellence schools and the Young Enterprise business partner network to share insights and discuss what young people need to succeed in the future workforce.

A fantastic opportunity to connect, learn and continue inspiring and equipping the next generation for their future. 🚀

A very special thank you to our fabulous Head of Business, Mrs Donna Molloy, for her dedication and commitment to providing our pupils with opportunities to develop their enterprise, employability and leadership skills. 👏💚💛

Thank you to Young Enterprise NI for a valuable and inspiring event.

💚💛 Year 10 pupils Leading Our September Assembly on HOPE 💚💛

A huge well done to our Year 10 pupils who led our September assembly on the theme of HOPE. 🌟

Pupils reflected on what hope means, how it can motivate us to take positive steps forward, and how even difficult experiences don’t have to define our future.

Their key message was simple but powerful: hope is believing that things can change and choosing to take the next step. 💫

We are so proud of our pupils for showing such confidence, thoughtfulness and leadership. 👏

💚💛 Celebrating the Success of Our Mary’s Meals Campaign 💚💛

We took the opportunity at our Beginning of School Year Mass to celebrate the incredible success of our Mary’s Meals campaign, which was launched this time last year.

Clodagh Daly-McKeown, a local volunteer with Mary’s Meals, shared the wonderful news that our efforts to raise £4,038.38 have provided daily school meals for pupils in a school in Malawi for a full year. 🌍🍎

A cheque was presented to Lizzie Rea, the newly appointed Head of Mary’s Meals NI, in recognition of the tremendous support shown by our school community.

We are incredibly proud of the generosity and commitment of our pupils, staff, families and wider school community. Together, we have made a real difference. 💚💛

We look forward to another year of supporting this very worthwhile cause and continuing to make a difference through the work of Mary’s Meals.

D’fhreastail scata ó Bhliain a 13 ar chomhdháil thábhachtach ar Chnoc Uí Néill ar na mallaibh. Tháinig grúpaí óige ó gach cearn den Tuaisceart le chéile fá choinne an chéad chomhdháil riamh de chuid Fhóram na nÓg, an eagraíocht a thacaíonn le hobair óige trí mheán na Gaeilge. D’éist siad le haoichainteoirí agus gníomhaithe mór le rá agus bhain siad taitneamh agus tairbhe as. Tá todhchaí na teanga geal lenár ndíograiseoirí óga I Scoil Iósaef!

A group of our Y13s attended an important Irish Language conference recently on the Hill of O’Neill. Youth groups from all over came together for the first ever conference of Fóram na nÓg, the organisation that supports youth work through the medium of Irish. They got to listen to guest speakers and prominent Irish language activists and really enjoyed the day. The future of the language is bright with our young enthusiasts in Scoil Iósaef!
