This morning we watched the KS2 show “Oink!” If you’ve bought tickets to see the show, you’re in for a treat!!

Today both P3 classes said goodbye to their butterfly friends 🦋 We have watched them transform from caterpillars over the last few weeks, and today we finally got to release them!

Applications for Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance for the upcoming academic year are now open!

If you are in receipt of one of the following, you will need to upload a Proof of Benefit letter when applying for Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance for the 2026/27 academic year:

➡️ Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit

You can request a Proof of Benefit letter online: https://t.co/vhcVyDRoi5 (It will take at least five days to be sent to you)

If you receive Universal Credit, you do not need the Proof of Benefit Letter. However, you will need to upload evidence of your Universal Credit entitlement when you apply.

At Donaghadee Primary School’s P1 Induction Meeting today, incoming parents were introduced to Smartphone Free Childhood. With Ofcom reporting 24% of 5-7 year olds in the UK have their own smartphone, it is never too early to start this conversation.

Thanks to the wonderful P1 teachers Mrs Larmour and Mrs Swann alongside Principal Mrs Scott for Donaghadee Primary School’s continued leadership in this area.

Today Mrs Swann and Mrs Larmour visited our nursery Rainbow class for the second time as part of our nursery to P1 transition programme. We had a lovely afternoon reading and getting to know the children.

Our Eco-schools team attended this event yesterday to receive our flag and certificate

It was a bit of a rainy start to our Eco-Schools award ceremonies but there was a warm welcome in Bangor for these Green Flag winners.🌦️

This is the very best time of year for us at Live Here Love Here, when we get to celebrate all the pupils and teachers who are working so hard in their schools to make a difference for the environment, nature, and their local communities.💚🙌

This year 288 schools have achieved a Green Flag and we can't wait to celebrate this amazing achievement with each and every amazing school!

What a fantastic first session out on the sea with the sailing club and our P6 pupils.

The sun shone and there was no better place to be in the sunshine than Donaghadee! ☀️ ⛵️
